Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy - SGGSCP

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy was established by Sikh Educational Society in 1982. The college is named after the immortal luminary, the Great Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose teachings and ideas always inspire us. The Sikh Educational Society was formed in Pre-Independence days (1937) at Lahore in an effort to modernize educational, cultural and social environment and to promote religion-socio-economic interests. It is a governing body, which comprises of eminent bureaucrats, philanthropists, scholars, prominent educationists & educational administrators serving the cause of education. The SES is celebrating its platinum jubilee this year.The college has a well-stocked Library with over 9270 books, 14 periodicals and subscribes to a no of e-journals and 5 newspapers. It also has a wide range of reference books and encyclopedias to cater to the needs of the students and the staff members. The Reference Section is also regularly upgraded. Overview Placement

The Placement cell in the college was established in the year 2000 and since then the cell has helped hundreds of students in getting jobs. The cell primarily has three objectives viz. placement, training and counseling. Training is another important activity undertaken by the placement cell, since practical training is a part of curriculum in diploma in medical laboratory technology course. The college arranges practical training for students during fifth and sixth semester in government hospitals as well as in private clinical laboratories.
