ITI Admissions 2026 in India will commence in May for the next academic session 2026-26. ITI application form 2026 will remain open till June as per the trends of previous years. As compared to last year's admission cycle, the state-wise ITI admissions must start a little early for timely completion of the admission process. The state ITIs will release the ITI admission dates for their respective ITI colleges along with the merit, choice filling, and counselling process dates. There are about 15,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and thousands of students apply each year based on their state-level colleges. Admission processes vary by state and are typically conducted online. To apply for ITI in 2026, students must have completed their 10th or 12th grade from a recognised school, with at least 35% or 45% overall marks, depending on the institution. There are about 14,993 ITIs across India, offering around 26 lakh seats in more than 17 different trades for students to choose from.

These B.Voc programmes -- Software Development, Tourism & Hospitality and Logistics Management, have been designed to provide students with job-oriented training by providing them with practical knowledge. However, despite their potential, the programmes failed to attract a single student.

Arunachal Pradesh CM assures 100% Scholarship for Admission to IITs: The Chief Minister, Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh, announced to offer 100% scholarships for APST youths gaining admission to any undergraduate courses in IITs. Khandu made this announcement during the opening ceremony of the annual college week celebration of Dera Natung Government College, last Sunday. As per the statement, the CM of Arunachal Pradesh has added that the APST youth securing admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses at top 150 global universities (as per the QS ranking) will be completely free of cost. Also, the CM will provide a 75% scholarship to obtain a commercial pilot licence for up to 10 aspiring youths every year. Along with it, every year, 10 youths will get support for obtaining certification and training programs for merchant navy courses.
