West Bengal (WBSCVT) ITI Admission 2021 – Seat Allotment (Phase II Underway), Dates, Merit List, Choice Filling, Fees, Trades

WBSCVT has started the round 2 seat allotment process for West Bengal ITI admissions 2021 from 16th September onwards. Last date of online admission is 19th September.

West Bengal ITI Admission 2021 - WBSCVT has started the round 2 seat allotment process for West Bengal ITI admissions 2021 from 16th September onwards. The last date of online admission is 19th September. 

West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT) is the authority that conducts the admission process for ITI courses/ trades in West Bengal. The admission process for government and private ITI colleges is carried out by WBSCVT. The ITI trades in WB are divided into Group – E & M. Candidates can check all the details about the admission process, list of ITI trades for different groups, colleges, fees, application form and eligibility here.

West Bengal ITI Merit List 2021

Once the last date for the form submission concludes, WBSCVT releases a merit list for Group ‘M’ & ‘E’ trades separately. A merit rank will be allocated to each candidate. Only those candidates who have a merit rank and are featured in the merit list are eligible for online choice filling and counselling process.

Merit List for Group ‘M’ Trades

  • For Group ‘M’ trades, the merit list is prepared as per the marks obtained by the candidates in Class 10th. There will be no separate entrance exam for the same.

Merit List for Group ‘E’ Trades

  • For Group ‘E’ trades, marks obtained by the candidates in Class 8th are considered for preparing the merit list.
  • The headmaster of the school must authenticate or confirm the marks secured by a candidate in Class 8th.

West Bengal ITI Eligibility Criteria 2021

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility guidelines specified by WBSCVT are only eligible for admission in ITI trades offered by various colleges across the state. The eligibility criteria can be checked below –

Age Limit

  • The candidate must have attained a minimum of 14 years of age as of August 01, 2021.
  • Candidates who are born before August 01, 2007, are eligible for admission.
  • There is no upper age limit for ITI admission in WB.

Domicile

  • Candidates aspiring for admission in ITI run by government/ PPP must have passed Class 8th/ 10th from any school located in West Bengal.
  • Students from other states are not eligible for admission in any of the government ITI.

Education Qualification for ITI ‘M’ Group Trades

  • For ITI trades that fall under the ‘M’ group, the candidates must have passed Class 10th with a minimum of 35% of marks.

Education Qualification for ITI ‘E’ Group Trades

  • For ITI trades that fall under the ‘E’ group, the candidate must have passed Class 8th.

West Bengal ITI Application Form 2021

The candidates will have to fill the online application form for ITI admission in West Bengal. The details with regard to the application process are explained below.

Rs. 200 for Boys and Rs. 100 for Girls

Application Process – Step 1

  • The candidates will have to visit the website mentioned above.
  • Click on ‘New Candidate Registration
  • Fill in the details such as Name of the Candidate, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Gender and District.
  • Click on ‘Register’ after filling in the above details

Step 2

  • You will receive an OTP on your mobile via SMS
  • Enter the OTP to validate your registration
  • The User ID will be your mobile number and the password will be your Date of Birth.

Step 3

  • In this step, the candidate will have the application fee by using a debit card/ credit card or internet banking facility
  • Take the printout of the fee payment receipt

Step 4

  • The candidates will have to fill the form such as Category Details, Education Qualification, Personal Details
  • The candidates will also have to enter the total marks obtained in Class 10th or 8th.
  • Take the printout of the application form after the submission

Step 5

  • The candidates will have to submit the hard copy of the application form to the nearest ITI for data validation.

    West Bengal ITI Choice Filling Process 2021

    Candidates who are eligible for admission as per the merit list must fill the choices through the official website. As per the dates specified WBSCVT, the candidates will have to log in by using their Mobile Number and Date of Birth. The candidates will have to change the password after the login. Login again to fill in the choices. The candidates can choose any number of colleges and trades as choices. The candidates will have to submit or lock the choices. Candidates will receive a confirmation message on mobile via SMS.

    West Bengal ITI Seat Allotment 2021

    The seat allotment for West Bengal ITI admission is based on the merit rank of the candidates and choices/ colleges opted by the candidates. Once the seat allotment result is out, the candidates will have to download the seat allotment letter and report to the college within the specified date.

    West Bengal ITI Admission Reporting Process

    After the seat allotment is done, the candidates will have to report to the respective institute with a provisional seat allotment letter, original and xerox copies of academic certificates. The seat will be confirmed only of candidates report within the specified dates.

    West Bengal ITI Fee 2021

    Candidates who have been allocated seats will have to pay Rs. 180 as the tuition fee for the first six months. The remaining fee can be paid at the beginning of every six months. The fee is Rs. 30 per month. The candidates can pay the first six months fee at the time of reporting.
