Placements at Jain Deemed to be University D-School

Jain Deemed to be University D-School placement cell ensures that the students gain enough practical skills in their fields to make them competent for jobs, by sending them to different manufacturing units in relevant fields. For example, students are taken to a 3D printing/additive manufacturing unit to show them the latest advances in technologies used in the manufacturing of products, and the process of 3D printing. Students are also taken to the manufacturing unit of products made from natural materials, Corian material studio, etc. In this way, the students get an in-hand experience of the types of machinery, materials, and their usage.

D-School Placement cell also builds and maintains relationships with top industrial companies to send the students to their manufacturing units for an eight-week internship training program. During the strenuous periods of internship, students learn about the latest trends and new applications in their fields from the most capable people. For example, the fourth-semester students pursuing the Product Design program at D School had been sent to the Industrial Design Centre unit, and Research and Development units of BEML for internship. They learnt about manufacturing methods, design processes, research methods, and conceptualization methods in high manufacturing there.

The internship and industrial visit programs organized by the D-School placement cell increase the knowledge and experience of the student's multiple folds. This helps them to get placed in the top companies in their field easily.
