JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering Tathawade abbreviated as RSCOE was established in 2001 by Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (JSPM), a public charitable trust. JSPM’s RSCOE Tathawade has five more campuses across the different districts of Maharashtra. The college offers eight undergraduate, six postgraduate and four diploma courses in engineering, computer application and management. All the RSCOE engineering courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

JSPM’s RSCOE Tathawade is an autonomous institute affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. All the RSCOE’s UG courses are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The institute has also been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with “A” grade and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering admission is going on in the online mode. The RSCOE undergraduate courses include B.Tech with eight specialisations and four specialisations in diploma. RSCOE postgraduate course includes four specialisations. Other Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering courses are MBA and MCA. JSPM’s RSCOE provided financial aid to deserving students through various scholarships. It includes both government-aided as well as private scholarships. A detailed list of RSCOE scholarships is given below:

Scholarship Provided by Government of India

• Special Quota: As per DTE norms, there is a special quota for the students belonging to J & K and Northeast states
• SC/ST/ OBC Students: Scholarships to Reserved Category students are available as per government norms. The Admissions cell organizes special seminars for these students to tell them about schemes and scholarships if they take engineering admissions.
• Differently abled: 3% of seats of the total sanctioned intake capacity of all the institutions coming under CAP, are reserved for students with a disability, as per the provisions in Clause 39 of equal opportunities, protection of rights and Full Participation Act 1995.
• For Women: 30% of seats available for Maharashtra State CAP are reserved for female students, as per the provisions in GR No. GEC-1000/ (123/2000)/ Technical Education.
• Economically Weaker Sections: 5% of seats are reserved under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) for each course.
• Minority Community: Students belonging to minority communities like Muslim/Christian / Buddhist / Sikh / Parsi / Jain avail of the "State and Central Government Minority Scholarship".
• Tuition Fees Waiver Scheme (TFWS): Under this scheme, 100% of Tuition fees are waived.

Private Scholarships Available

• LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarships: These merit scholarships for Engineering students are supported by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and target meritorious students from economically backward sections of society.
• NTPC Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship for Engineering is started by the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), and is meant for deserving students from the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and physically challenged students. It was started with the objective of providing them with financial aid to help shape their careers. 2nd year Engineering students falling in these categories are eligible for this scholarship.
• Indian Oil Corporation Scholarships: IOCL is yet another well-known company that provides 300 scholarships to deserving engineering students in India, under the aegis of their Indian Oil Educational Scholarship scheme. Successful students are selected purely on a merit-cum-means basis and are awarded scholarships amounting to INR 3,000 per month for four months.
• Tata Scholarship for Engineering Students: Backed by the world-renowned Tata Group, the Tata Education and Development Trust, has scholarships for engineering students in India who thoroughly deserve to pursue Engineering.
• Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students: The principal objective of this scholarship scheme by the central government and the Ministry of Human Resources Development (Department of Higher Education) is to help deserving students with limited means, meet a part of their fixed expenses – while doing their graduate and postgraduate degrees.
  IET India Scholarship: This scholarship for Engineering was founded to reward excellence among deserving 2nd and 3rd Year undergraduate students of Engineering by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
• ONGC Scholarship for SC/ST Students: The Oil Natural Gas Commission, the country’s top-ranked energy company offers this scholarship to fund needy but deserving Indian students hailing from the SC/ST and OBC categories. 50% of the scholarship is reserved for girl students.
• Leela Poonawala: Poonawala group and SERUM institutes provide special scholarships to female students.
• Cummins Scholarship: Cummins group also provides scholarships to economically weaker students on the basis of Merit.
• Cash Prize: Gives Cash Prizes to the First Five FE Topper Students.

Smart Class Room: It facilitates instructor and student teaching-learning events, such as a seminar, online discussion or live training for employees in the company. We have many participants present in the virtual classroom. They can talk with each other as in the traditional classroom via chat.

Sports facility: Institute is well equipped with good indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as kabaddi, volleyball, table tennis, carrom boards, basketball, cricket, badminton, football etc. Institute regularly encourages organizing college level and intercollege level games to exhibit students' sports activities such as Gandharv (annual sports gathering), HEAT2K (Inter-college football, basketball and table tennis matches).

Hostel: The Institute offers hostel accommodation to both females and males located within the campus. It comprises three buildings for girls and one for boys. It is a residence hostel for full-time graduate and postgraduate students admitted to RSCOE. Each hostel is equipped with a solar water heating system. High-speed Wi-Fi Internet connectivity is available within hostel premises. All leading Marathi and English newspapers are available. The capacity is 820+ accommodations. 

Mess facility: Institute has a canteen/mess facility within the hostel premises. The mess serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian food with cooled and purified drinking water.

Entrepreneurship Development (ED) with Start-Ups: ED cell at RSCOE was established in 2008. Inaugurated on 10th July 2008 at the hands of JSPM Tathawade Campus Director Dr P.P. Vitkar Sir. The EDC Cell works in coordination with the Training and Placement Cell under the leadership of Dr Santosh Borde, Training and Placement Officer, RSCOE.
