Passing Marks for IIT JAM 2026

Passing Marks for IIT JAM 2026: The minimum marks to qualify IIT JAM exam for the acadmemic year 2026-27 will around 8-42 for General category, 7-34 for OBC/EWS, and 4-21 for SC/ST/PwD. These numbers have been calculated using the previous year cutoff trends. These marks are called qualifying or cutoff marks. They are the least scores you need to be considered for admission into institutes like IITs, IISc, NITs, and others. Each of the seven subjects in IIT JAM - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Geology, Biotechnology, and Economics - has its own qualifying cutoff. But scoring the minimum marks does not mean you will get admission. Every university decides its own final cutoff for different courses based on merit and the number of applicants, and you need to clear that cutoff to actually get admission.

Yes, LPU has specific admission criteria, and the main eligibility exam is LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). LPUNEST is used for admission to many programs and also provides scholarships based on performance. However, for some courses, LPU also accepts national-level exam scores like JEE, CLAT, NEET, CUET, or NATA depending on the program. Basic educational eligibility such as 10+2 marks is also required. In many cases, LPUNEST makes the admission process easier and helps students earn scholarships at LPU.

Hello Neethu,

For admission in Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga in the PGD in Yoga Therapy for Medicos and Paramedicos (PGDYTMP), you must have passed with any Medical/ Para-Medical/ Physiotherapy (minimum 4+ years) graduate degree with 50% marks from a recognised university/ institution approved by the regulatory body. You must also provide a Medical Fitness Certificate for medical fitness proof. Admission at Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga will be given on the basis of the merit of the qualifying degree. The programme duration is 1 year (2 semesters). Thus, chances of admission in the PGDYTMP course with a B.Tech degree are unlikely.

Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask for any more queries.

Dear student,

Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga does not offer an MSc Nursing programme. The institute provides admission in yoga courses. Since you have a BSc degree, you can apply for admission in MSc Nursing in various other colleges in Delhi. The duration of the Master of Science (MSc) Nursing course is two years and it is offered in regular mode. The fee structure may vary from college to college. One thing must be kept in mind is that you must have scored minimum 45-50% marks in BSc Nursing  in order to be eligible for MSc admission.
