Mumbai B. Ed College for Women, located in Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra, started its first academic session of imparting comprehensive education to the aspirants, in 2004-2005. The college is affiliated to Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University (SNDT Women’s University) and has gained the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal. Working under the guidance and sponsorship of Bhartiya Gramin Punarrachana Sanstha, the educational institution conducts one year of full-time undergraduate degree level Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course in both English and Marathi medium. Since its inception, Mumbai B. Ed College for Women is dedicated to the cause of producing proficient teachers. The autonomous educational institution offers modern amenities and conducts seminars on a regular basis. It has been recognized that education exercises a significant influence on the employment and income opportunities open to people and hence corrects the inequalities in society, leading to economic and social betterment. The success of a country’s economic front hinges on the efforts of the academic community to provide the right input in the ever-changing national and international conditions. Moreover it is the principal instrument for passing on the accumulated cultural experiences, and scientific knowledge of humanity to our young generation.

There are adequate number of class rooms, halls, laboratory space for conducting instructional activities for the students, separate room for Principal and faculty members, office for the administrative staffs, common room female students and a store laboratory. Laboratories are well equipped with required apparatus. The college has an enriched library with sufficient text and reference books and journals including Teachers education as specified by N.C.T.E. Students are issued tow cards for borrowing books. The home issue card permits the borrowing of one book at a time for a period of seven days only. Reference books may used on reference cards for study in the reading room for the day only.
