The college has been keeping pace with the growing activities and academic demands. Faculty of Science, faculty of Management Studies and the faculty of Computer Science were introduced and required numbers of labs were set up.
There has been immense addition to the infrastructure as an auditorium with a seating capacity of 800, Evaluation cell, Secrecy cell, Administrative block, Central library, underground parking, hostel for girls, sports ground were added.
The college provides all departments with facilities like office rooms and common rooms. There are separate common rooms for female students in every academic block with washrooms for female students, male students and staff separately.
The college is made accessible by the installation of elevator and ramps are being constructed for the use of physically challenged students. Audio books, screen-reading software, Braille display and scanning facilities are available for the visually challenged students. Special attention is paid to the students suffering from dyslexia and hearing-impairment.
A number of students from other cities and states are studying in the college. To provide accommodation to both boys and girls, the college is providing accommodation facility. There is a hostel for the girls with a capacity of 155 girls and there is also hostel for the boys with a capacity of 100 boys.
The hostels of the college are properly managed without any problem of discipline.

National Cadet Corps is a voluntary Tri-Services Organization , comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. It recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The former NCC Cadets of National P.G. College have excelled in every nation building endeavour. The cadets have successfully participated in various camps and won several medals and trophies individually and collectively. One of the major programs for the implementation of outreach activities of the college is its national social service NSS program.
There are three units of NSS in the college (Two units of Girls and one unit of Boys)
The main activities of the scheme include the programmes related to: National Harmony, Adoption of villages and slums for cleanliness and literacy drives, Environmental conservation, AIDS Awareness programme, Health and Immunization/Participation in pulse polio drive, Organisation of Exhibitions, Winter Relief/Cold relief/Flood Relief, Training of Programme Officers.
The unit of Scouts and Guides in the college successfully promotes the motto of the institution by inculcating virtues of determination, service to the poor and nation and to be always performing to the best of one’s capacity with honour. The college organises regularly the rally of Rovers and Rangers every year.
