NIT Hamirpur B.Tech in Civil Engineering - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2026

Overall Wonderful campus. Nice teachers and crowd. You will find many nice teachers here. The campus to be honest is one of the beautiful campus of all NITs and IITs.

Placement We see very good placements for computer science students in every college but, here in NIT Hamirpur, the placements for non tech or core branches are so good especially for civil engineering.

Infrastructure The campus consists of many well accommodated research labs and also has 5 libraries with free wifi. There are a lot more workshops especially for civil and mechanical engineering.

Faculty The teachers and the professors here at NIT Hamirpur behave so nicely with the students and never make the feel uncomfortable. They are so friendly and polite.

Hostel Hostel is so beautiful that it will never make you feel bored. It’s beautiful design upon the hill makes it more beautiful. Every hostel here has its own badminton and table tennis court.

Overall As india's second most beautiful campus, amazing himalayan views, Nice evening Rains with morning gives u amazing relaxation Cultural fest like HILLSFAIR and tech fest like nimbus... U really enjoy 3-4 days like holiday Plants trees monkey dogs are brand ambassador of NITH

Placement Average package is about 6 lpa in core company but you can also try for IT sector... Like deloitte, TCS,EXL, and many more... They gives you a good package but you have to learn something relevant like SQL, Tableau, C++,so on... Many of my friends takes job in IT company.. In my academic year. placement rate is about 70-80 %

Infrastructure Infrastructure was good.. Many new complexes were started like sports Complex(amazing building, amazing facilities), computer centre (Himachal's biggest), New mechanical building... So on.. Facilities in lab was good.. But many instruments were old and not working then Lecture Hall, department class have good Infrastructure like white board, black board, projector so on

Faculty civil engineering department is very old or first department in NITH, that's why faculties are very much experience and knowledgeable. They are very senior in NITH.. That's why most of prestigious posts like dean academic, joint hostel warden.. So on.. All are from civil engineering department. But the issue is, they are more inclines in college politics rather than teaching U donot expect him/her for cooperation in your academic,or any problems, especially from professors

Hostel In my academic year,2018-22 1st yr hostel, Hostel is old, and share with 2 friends.. Mess was good, workers were very politely treating you 2nd yr hostel, New building with 7 floor, room will alloted as per ur CGPA and share with 2 more frnds 3rd yr hostel, we are at home due to covid 4th yr hostel, room was good, single room, awesome food,
