NIT Nagaland PhD Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) program at NIT Nagaland require candidates to hold a relevant master's degree from a recognized university or institute. The minimum qualifying marks for general category candidates is 60% or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are relaxed to 55% or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale. Additionally, candidates must have a valid GATE score or NET qualification. The selection process involves a written test and/or interview conducted by the respective department, followed by a final merit list based on the candidate's performance.
