The placement cell of Kirori Mal College is a student-driven body working as an integral link between prominent companies and the students. The placement cell of KMC gives every possible exposure to their students and provides them with the best job opportunity that they deserve.
The placement cell organizes campus engagement to attract the best talent and make students aware of the upcoming opportunities. The recruitment procedure includes the following steps -
Pre Placement Talks: The recruitment process begin with companies’ involvement in pre-placement talks with the students in which they talk about generic things like the company itself, their profile and requirements and expectations from the students.
Interactive Sessions: Interactive sessions in the form of soft-skill seminars, case study competitions, and speaker sessions are organized to give a clearer view to the students.
Event Collaboration: The presence of various companies in an internship fair and in collaborative events as sponsors, representative speakers and judging panel is organized by Avenues.
For a smooth placement process and availability of opportunity for every student, the placement cell has made a recruitment structure in three tiers. The division of the recruiting companies is done in these tiers on the basis of the compensation offered, company profile, the desirability of job profile, years of association and campus engagement beyond placement. An additional Dream Tier is introduced in case of an extremely venerated firm. Getting the first offer letter renders the candidate’s ineligibility to apply for any other placement. Although the candidate can still apply for a Dream Tier company.
Every year many students get placed in various companies with the package as high as 19 Lakh per annum. Some of the companies that visit the college for campus placement are EY India, PWC Actuarial, Willis Towers Watson, KPMG, American Express, Deloitte, Mazars, Ernst and Young, DE Shaw and many more.

A person with an offer letter from a Tier III Company is ineligible to sit for any other company of the same tier. He/She can still sit for a Tier I/II Company and is rendered ineligible for the entire recruitment process on the receiving of an offer letter from a Tier I/II Company, whichever comes first.
A person with an offer letter from a Tier II Company can sit for a Tier I/Tier II Company and is rendered ineligible for the entire recruitment process on the receiving of an offer letter from a Tier I/Tier II Company, whichever comes first.
A person with an offer letter from a Tier I Company can sit for a Tier I/Tier II Company and is out of the entire recruitment process on the receiving of an offer letter from a Tier I/Tier II Company, whichever comes first.
The aim of this recruitment structure is to ensure that no student gets more than two job offers. However, just being a part of a shortlist doesn’t bind the student from sitting for any other company. It is therefore, in the company’s interest to make the final offers at their earliest to avoid losing out on candidates.
A formal Acceptance of a job offer renders the student ineligible for the entire recruitment process. He/She will NOT be permitted to apply to any further company visiting the campus.
