The College of Agriculture and the College of Horticulture and Forestry, both constituent institutions of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU), are under the aegis of this institution. The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) created the Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University in 2014, making it the second Central Agricultural University in India.

• The Department of Agriculture, Horticulture, and Forestry at Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University provides three undergraduate, eight graduate, and PhD courses in these areas.

Students with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Sc. programmes offered by the institute.

• Candidates who are willing to apply for Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University course admission must have completed (or be scheduled for completion of) their Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in the relevant discipline under the 10+2+5 (B.V.Sc. & AH), 10+2+4, or 10+6 years degree programmes.

RLBCAU provides scholarships under the National Talent Scholarship (NTS), which was recently amended by ICAR. Undergraduates who were accepted into the university through the All-India Entrance Examination for various Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University UG degrees in agriculture or related sciences were granted financial rewards. The students who were accepted into BVSc. & AH through the competitive test held by VCI also qualified for NTS.
