RIT Roorkee B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry) - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2024

Overall: I am in the second year of the B.Tech (LE) CSE (AL&ML) programme. The admission process for lateral entry to B.Tech was quite easy. I visited the college campus and filled out the form based on eligibility criteria and got selected. The course fee for this course is around Rs 4 LPA for three years. The faculty of the engineering department is knowledgeable. They organise practices and seminars for overall development. The university offers adequate facilities such as a library, hostel, canteen and labs. If I talk about placements, I have 2 more years to prepare myself for that. However, the average package offered during the 2022 placements was Rs 6.5 LPA.

Placement: My seniors got placed in leading companies such as Byjus, Hashedin by Deloitte, E&Y, and Prism Johnson Ltd. during the 2022 placement drive. The highest package offered is Rs 10 LPA. The institute has successfully placed 82.5% of students in the previous year. The placement for 2023 is ongoing.

Infrastructure: Sachin and Vibhor Sir are my favourite professors in the department. The faculty are educated and hold experience of 5 to 10 years in their respective fields The staff members are also supportive. The student-to-faculty ratio in my department is 35:1

Faculty: RIT has a huge sports ground on the campus along with a gym. Different sports courts are also available. The institute has a seminar hall to conduct seminars and programmes. Hostel and mess facilities are also available. A canteen is present on the ground floor and it offers a wide of cuisines.

Hostel: RIT has a well-built hostel infrastructure for both boys and girls. It offers AC and non-AC rooms with double and triple occupancy. I live in a twin-sharing non-Ac room. The charges are different for AC and non-rooms. It ranges from Rs 72,000 to 1,02,000. Hostel security charges of Rs 3000 have to be paid one time and it is refundable.

Overall: There were a lot of opportunities to get placement. Here many companies come for placement but the lack of coding skills in student they were not able to crack...from past some days 27 lakhs package companies visited the collge but no one can crack.. But now college introduced many coding facilities for students so join my rit rookee and make your carrer.. best

Infrastructure: Not so good but alest you can make your carrer very best with little amount of fee.. we have big graound for cricket badminton tennis footbal etc....now college introduce new canteen and mall in campus

Faculty: Best faculty.....i have ever seen in my life i thnk you got best ever faculty in your life when u just get admission in rit the best part of my collge

Overall: As an ex-RIT topper, I can confidently say that my experience at this institution has been truly enriching. RIT is a leading technical institute affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University. The courses offered are AICTE approved. It provides a holistic learning experience that goes beyond academics, fostering personal and professional growth. It was awarded the ATAL Ranking of Institutions on Innovation achievements by the Institution’s Innovation Council, MHRD Govt. of India and Excellence in Innovation by IIC. I took admission in B.Sc ME course and my admission was done through JEE counseling. Also, I had to make sure I meet the eligibility criteria set for the course which is- to pass the 10+2 examination with 60-90% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Placement: If I give my view on RIT placements, the first thing I would say is its commitment to ensuring the successful placement of its students in the strongest aspects. We had a dedicated placement cell that works tirelessly to invite renowned companies for recruitment drives. The training and placement programmes provided by RIT are highly effective in grooming students for interviews, enhancing their technical skills, and developing their overall personalities. The overall highest salary package offered is Rs 25 LPA and for MBA students, the highest LPA was recorded at Rs 18 LPA in 2022. Such an impressive placement record speaks volumes about its commitment to producing industry-ready professionals.

Infrastructure: RIT boasts impressive infrastructure, equipped with modern amenities and cutting-edge technology. In the 30-acre campus, we were provided with well-designed classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, a well-stocked library and advanced computer facilities. The university breathes in a serene and conducive environment, with lush green surroundings that inspire learning and creativity. However, this is solely my point of view. Other facilities include an auditorium, incubation center, cafeteria and many more.

Faculty: My professors are experienced and knowledgeable in their respective fields. I have seen them adopt innovative teaching methods, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the subjects. The faculty members are approachable, encouraging students to clarify their doubts and engage in interactive discussions. Their guidance and mentorship played a crucial role in shaping my career paths.

Hostel: RIT offers comfortable and well-maintained hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels are equipped with modern amenities and provide a conducive environment for students to focus on their studies. My room was a double-seater AC room. You will find two-seater and three-seater rooms both AC and non-AC. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and maintained with utmost care. The hostel fee ranges between Rs 72,000 to Rs 1,02,000 which includes mess fees as well. You have to pay a one-time refundable security deposit of Rs 3,000.

Overall: Our college academics are very good.RIT faculties most of the professors well knowledgeable .They got a helping nature as well.Teachers have helped me a lot.overall it is a good for placement.

Placement: Our college is very good for placements. Since last few years, many companies have also come to visit the campus. Many children are also getting placed with us.

Infrastructure: As you can search it on Google RIt got NAAC A++. Building structure is well and good not so big but enough as compared to fee they provide many facilities also

Faculty: We have got very good faculties.Teachers of all branches are very good and very knowledgeable.They help the students a lot for placement.Teachers are also very good.

Hostel: Mess food is very healthy.sometimes students are not satisfied with foods but they give their best.hostel management is very good.Rooms area is big and provide clean also

Overall: My name is Nitin Joshi and I am an alumnus of Roorkee Institute of Technology. I graduated with B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) from RIT in 2022. My decision to pursue this programme from RIT was primarily based on the growing demand for AI & ML and the college’s excellent industry connections. Our college has tie-ups with many major industry players like Rubrics Softcon, Prolific Systems & Technologies Pvt Ltd, Edgefx Technologies Pvt Ltd, etc. for training and placement purposes.

Placement: I already talked a bit about the industry tie-ups that our college has. I got a job offer from Code Store Solutions Pvt. Ltd. during the final placement round and joined the company with a package of Rs 5 LPA. I also did my internship to enhance my chances to get placed. I completed my internship at Prolific Systems & Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Infrastructure: Labs are the main component is any CSE department. Our computer lab has a sufficient number of computers with the latest configuration networked together for a seamless experience. There are also a Projects Lab, Programming Lab, Operating Systems Lab, IOT Lab, Database Lab, Data Science Lab, etc.

Faculty: Usually, faculty strength varies from department to department. Our department used to have more than 20 teachers. They took really good care of us and prepared us for the professional world. Deepak sir taught us IOT by making hard theoretical concepts really easy to digest.

Hostel: RIT hostels are really comfortable for a stay away from home. The amenities provided by the college are a separate study floor, game rooms, outdoor game facilities, television, running water, and many more. I used to enjoy the high speed internet at my hostel. It made studying in my room easier. One can also go for an AC room.

Overall: This Institute is very famous for their technical resources . It is very great and big. This Institute infrastructure is very great. It has all the resources of student basic need.

Placement: placement of this Institute is very great because so many students had got the best package from this institute. Their highest package was 50 lakh per Annum.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this Institute is very great and it has so many libraries and Wi-Fi it has so many libraries and Wi-Fi facilities available for student .

Faculty: The faculty of this Institute is very great and there are so many faculty available in this institute. Faculty are very good with teachers and with students too.

Hostel: The hostel facility of this Institute is very great and its provides so many food options to the student and and student were very happy when they got the admission in this.

Overall: Roorkee Institute of Technology has been my home for the past 3 years while Im completing my B.Tech CSE. I live in the hostel right on campus and its actually located in a pretty convenient spot. I can say that the course material is good, the teaching style of the professors is also interesting and makes us understand better. I always recommend this college to others back home as my experience has been great.

Placement: The placement record at RIT is good. Students who graduate from the institute have a good chance of getting placed in good companies. If I remember correctly during the last placement season, the average salary on offer was Rs 6 lakh per annum and the highest salary was Rs 16 lakh per annum.

Infrastructure: We have one of the countries largest library with over 2 million books. The infrastructure at RIT is a major asset to the university and helps to attract top students from all over the country. The infrastructure provides students with the resources they need to succeed in their studies and to become well-rounded individuals. We also have facilities like the hostel, labs, cafe and even sports facilities.

Faculty: Our faculty is at the B.Tech CSE department are great engineers themselves who are qualified and experienced, many of them have even written in publications available in the library. The professors are enthusiastic about teaching and research abd are constantly looking for innovative ways to improve the university's educational quality.

Hostel: I've been living here for three years and have had a terrific time so far. The hostel is right next to the CSE buildings and the library, making it extremely convenient for lazy engineers. The rooms are spacious and clean, and they have all of the essentials such as a bed, a desk, a chair, a cupboard, and a fan.

Overall: Roorkee Institute of Technology is one of the best engineering institutes in Roorkee. It is a highly professional institute with only one motto which is quality education. I am graduating this year from RIT Roorkee. I have to say that the institute is great and If you are thinking about pursuing B.Tech from the RIT, it is surely an amazing option. I am doing B.Tech in Civil Engineering. The annual fee of RIT is Rs 99,9000. There are limited seats so you should have a good academic record to get admission. Placements are also good at the college, in 2022 the placement percentage was 82.75%. The highest package was around Rs 10 Lakh PA.

Placement: The highest package was around Rs 10 LPA. Placements in 2023 are still happening so the stats are not known. I have not opted for placements but my friends have been placed in many top companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the institute is nice. Though there is not much space for recreational activities. Department buildings have labs that are well-equipped. Classrooms are also huge.

Faculty: Ajay sir is the best HOD I know. He is kind, supportive and listens to our problems with patience. He is constantly introducing different programmes to engage students and keep them occupied with technology and research.

Hostel: Hostels are amazing here. I live in a triple occupancy room AC room. The starting hostel fee is around Rs 70K and ranges to Rs 1,02,000. You will have to give security charges as well.

Overall: Hi, my name is Nishant Kumar, and I am a recent graduate of B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the prestigious Roorkee Institute of Technology. After completing my course and getting a job through campus placement, I am completely satisfied with the college. CSE is one of the best courses offered by the Roorkee Institute of Technology. We had wifi access in both the college campus and our hostel rooms, so it was easy for us to study wherever we wanted. Did you know that the Roorkee Institute of Technology is affiliated with three universities? These are the Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University, Hemawati Nandan Bahuguna Central Government University, and Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University. So the courses offered by the Roorkee Institute of Technology are all valid.

Placement: Before the annual placement drive, I was not prepared so much, but with the help of the Roorkee Institute of Technology placement cell, I was quickly able to prepare my resume, work on my communication skills, correct my body language for the interview and more. Thanks to all that efforts, I was able to get a job at Samsung. I was offered a salary of Rs 8 LPA. During the Roorkee Institute of Technology placement in 2022, the highest salary was Rs 25 LPA, if my memory serves right.

Infrastructure: While I was studying there I really enjoyed spending my free time at the college library and canteen. The library was open every day and during office hours. However, the canteen was open for 15 hours a day. The canteen had a small number of proper meals, but they had quite a selection of snacks. We also had transportation services for students living in the city and those who live in the hostel but wish to go visit the city during weekends.

Faculty: I am not complaining or anything like that, but our teachers were really strict about their studies. They do not tolerate any slacking off during college time. Even though they were strict, I am really grateful for their guidance, as I have succeeded in life because of them. I would like to mention my mentor and my teacher Professor Dr Deepak Arya from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, who was the one who guided me to success.

Hostel: The hostel at Roorkee Institute of Technology was great. The hostel had good finishing, and it had big boundary walls around the building for safety. We had power backup generators, security personals, and good food was offered at the hostel mess. Rooms were available in triple sharing. Both men's and women's hostels were located on the campus but at different locations. The hostel fees start at Rs 72,000 for triple occupancy non-AC rooms.
