Secretary K.Santhanam Block

The imposing Main Block named `SECRETARY K.SANTHANAM BLOCK has three floors covering an area of 77,000 sq. ft

It accommodates class rooms, tutorial rooms, seminar halls, laboratories for the Electrical Department, Electronics and Communication Department and Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department.

RV Block & Kamaraj Block

The RV Block covering an area of 76,500 sq. ft

It accommodates class rooms, tutorial rooms, seminar halls, and Common laboratories for the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Information Technology Department, First Year common courses and it also accommodates administrative offices.

Jagadguru Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Block

The Jagadguru Sri Jayendra Saraswathi block covering an area of 25,300 sq. ft

It houses the MCA Department and its Laboratories, Library and Conference Hall.

Poojyasri Rajaji Block

The Poojyasri Rajaji block covering an area of 25,300 sq. ft

It houses the Department of Management Studies, General Library, Digital Library & Conference Hall.

Mechanical Workshop

The Mechanical workshop covering an area of 21,600 sq. ft

It accommodates class rooms, tutorial rooms, seminar halls, and laboratories for the Mechanical Department.

Annadurai Iyer Mechanical Labs

The Annadurai Iyer Mechanical Labs covering an area of 10,400 sq. ft

It accommodates Laboratories for the Mechanical Department.

Common Workshop

The Workshop is covering an area of 10,100 sq. ft

It accommodates First Year Common Course Laboratories and Mechanical Department Laboratories.

Saranathan College of Engineering has excellent separate Hostel facilities for boys and girls.The hostel in a separate spacious and airy 3 storied building, is located within the 
college campus. The girls hostel, run by the college, though not located within the college campus,is just 6 KM away from the college on the Trichy-Viralimali national highway. The hostel can accommodate 250 students.

Government of India has taken many initiatives to promote entrepreneurship talents among the students seeking higher education. In this connection, Government of Tamilnadu, Entrepreneurship Development of India (EDI) and ICTACT have nominated 123 colleges from Tamilnadu to establish ED cell. Out of this 50 colleges were selected for funding purposes. We are proud to mention that Saranathan College of Engineering is one among them and got a sanction of Rs 1 lakh.

The ED cell in our college was established in 2012 with the objective of developing Entrepreneurial skills among the students. Various programmes were organized to train the students in the area of organizing, developing and managing risky business ventures. Experts from TREC-STEP (NIT), EDI, ICTACT and Bharathidasan University incubation centers were invited to conduct motivational programmes. Our students actively participated in the programmes and also won prizes in various contests. Our college has also signed an MOU with NEN and is actively associated with EDI and ICTACT to promote entrepreneurial activities.

Women Empowerment Cell of Saranathan College of Engineering, Trichy was inaugurated by Dr.N.Gayathri Mathroobootham, M.B.B.S, M.D (O&G), Gynecologist on 26.11.2013 at 3.00p.m. Dr.N.Gayathri inaugurated the cell and delivered a keynote address on women empowerment. In her address, she dwelt on the real life challenges that women are facing and suggested the possible ways to overcome and tackle the problems. She also emphasized the need for daily exercise, so that women are fit enough to improve their performance in all walks of life. Dr.A.Revathy, Principal,SCE gave the presidential address.

The Placement Cell is an interface between the Corporate world and the students of SCE. It enables the students to make better and informed career choices. The Placement Cell invites industries to share their knowledge and experience with students through guest lectures, workshops, presentations and informal get-together. The Placement Cell also organizes the placement process including Summer training and Final placements. The Cell manages and facilitates on-campus recruitment processes including pre-placement presentations by potential employers to highlight the issues, expectations and professional opportunities, unique to the company and industry. Students of SCE have been placed in Domestic, Global and Public Sector Firms.The Training and Placement Cell takes care of the Campus Connect Programme.

Campus Connect is an Infosys Initiative. It is an Industry -Academic collaboration Program aimed at aligning the engineering students' skill to meet the industry needs. Infosys would be sharing with our college its training methodology courseware, student projects and other such learning resources used for their Foundation Program, that has been developed, practised and perfected by them over last several years. This will help to improve the quality and the employability of the students in the Indian IT enterprises & Organizations where SCE students are placed.
