JK Lakshmipat University Scholarships 2023-24: Details, Eligibility, Amount

Scholarship for UG programmes (B.Tech /BBA/BCA/B.Des.)

The details of JKLU UG scholarships are as follows -

For students completing Class 12 in 2023, admissions will be done on the basis of their performance in Class 10 Boards and other achievements in sports, academics, performing arts, and other extra-curricular activities over the last 2 years. The students who appeared for the class 12th Board exam in earlier years will be given admission on the basis of these marks and a review of other achievements.

Early Admission Opportunity (EAO) will be open from June 1-21 during which the details given below will apply. Students who have taken admission before June 1 can also avail this opportunity. The details are mentioned below

• Applicable for students who passed Class 10 in 2021 and appearing for Class 12 in 2023. For outstanding students, scholarships may upgrade to one level depending on the overall performance.
• Applicable for the students who passed Class 12 in 2023

B.Tech 2023 Merit Scholarship Based on JEE Main

Selection is primarily on the basis of JEE Mains score. There is an early-round for those who have appeared for JEE Mains in Feb 2021 or March 2021 or in 2020. The scholarships based as follows. Please note that there is a special provision for increasing diversity in the class and we give relaxation for the same. The special provision is applicable only for Girl students.

Scholarships for Post-Graduate Courses

There are various scholarships based on the performance in the qualifying exam for the students getting admission to the Postgraduate courses.

On-campus Opportunities

The university also offers opportunities for on-campus assistantships and part-time jobs to exceptional students.

JKLU has a very unique scholarship programme designed to encourage and support deserving students. The applicant may be eligible for a scholarship to completely waive their university fees. The JKLU Scholarship offered has two components:

Assured - Assured component is guaranteed for four years.

Merit-based - Merit-based component is subject to maintaining a specified minimum academic performance.

JKLU Scholarship is awarded based on:

Academic Performance in Class 10 & Class 12 marks

Performance in JEE Main

Exceptional performance in co-curricular activities (Sports, Cultural, Social Service etc.)

If a student has a record of exceptional performance in co-curricular activities he or she will be upgraded by one level. The upgradation will be subject to approval by VC upon recommendation of the committee.

Relaxation in JKLU B.Tech Scholarship (For Special Cases)

Continuation of JKLU Scholarships in Consecutive Years

The fee can be reduced by 25% for the below-mentioned students.

• Wards of a staff member of JKLU or any entity belonging to JKO
• Sibling of a student (both get fee reduction)
• Sibling of an alumni
• Alumni doing a second degree.

Early applications are governed under more relaxed criteria and students are advised to apply early by March 31, 2023. Applications after March 31, 2023, will not be considered early applications.

Those who have taken the Class 12 exam or JEE in 2023 and are awaiting results, will be governed by the rules applicable on the date of application/confirmation of admission.

To encourage and support meritorious applicants, JKLU has a very distinctive BCA scholarship programme. The applicant may qualify for a scholarship up to a full waiver of the University Academic Fee. JKLU Scholarships for BCA are given for the following categories:

JKLU BCA Scholarship Based on Class 10 and Class 12 Marks

Exceptional performance in co-curricular activities (Sports, Cultural, Social Service etc.)

If a student has a record of exceptional performance in co-curricular activities he or she will be upgraded by one level. The upgradation will be subject to approval by VC upon recommendation of the committee.

Relaxation in JKLU B.Tech Scholarship (For Special Cases)

Additionally, JKLU has a scheme of fee reduction for certain categories of students. JKLU Scholarship programme reduces fees by 25% (of academic fee – any fixed scholarship) for the following individuals:

• Wards of a staff member of JKLU or any entity belonging to JKO
• Sibling of a student (both get fee reduction)
• Sibling of an alumni
• Alumni doing a second degree.

To encourage and support meritorious students, JKLU has a very distinctive scholarship programme. Applicant may qualify for a JKLU scholarship up to full waiver of the University Academic and Hostel Fee.

JKLU BBA Scholarship is awarded based on:

Academic Performance in Class 10 & Class 12 marks

Exceptional performance in co-curricular activities (Sports, Cultural, Social Service etc.)

Scholarship based on Academic Performance in Class 10 and 12 marks, JKLU DET and Portfolio :
Students who have secured a position in the top 15% in R1 and R2​ top 10% In R3 in JKLU-DET rounds will receive scholarships varying from 75% - 100% fee waiver. Additionally, students with exceptional portfolios will be awarded relevant scholarships.
