School of Aviation Science & Technology - SAST
School of Aviation Science & Technology (SAST) was established in May 1987 with the aim of training young men & women as aviators in India. The institute offers a 3-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course. SAST is being run under the patronage of a well celebrated Delhi Flying club. SAST currently offers professional course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, which is duly approved by the Director General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India. SAST is one of the leading providers of human resource for aviation industry. So far , it has a distinction of training thousands of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. Many top level AMEs are employed in leading airlines including Jet Airways. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is the choice of young aspirants who want to work on aircraft. The is is a professional course and can be joined after passing 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. The duration of course is three years. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is a person duly licensed by Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt. Of India, who certifies the aircraft fit for flight after inspection, repair etc and also before each flight. SAST is managed by Aviators. It’s President is Capt. Satish Sharma, Member of Parliament (RS) and ex Indian Airline’s Pilot, Vice President is also a Pilot currently flying Business Jet aircraft and Director of Training is ex Dy. DGCA. Qualified Chief Instructor, Dy. Chief Instructor both approved by DGCA with a team of qualified, competent and skilled Instructors, conducts the training.
