Students Activities & Clubs

NCC Club -

The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.

NCC Flag Contains NCC Crest in gold in the middle, with the letters "NCC" encircled by a wreath of seventeen Lotus with a background in Red, Blue and Light blue. Red depicts the Army, Deep Blue depicts the Navy and Light Blue depicts the Air Force. The seventeen Lotuses represent the 17 State Directorates. "UNITY AND DISCIPLINE" (EKTA AUR ANUSHASAN) is written at the bottom of the NCC Flag.


Cultural Club -

Spoorthi is our annual cultural fest, showcasing the creative and constructive expressions of our students in an environment of holistic development. Spoorthi is the program for bringing about a fine balance between academic excellence and artistic creation. The cultural kaleidoscope of our nation, in all its myriad hues, finds expression on the Spoorthi platform, enlivened by students from across the nation. The world being a global village now, Spoorthi also showcases the cultural articulations of students from several other countries. The fest provides a platform for our cultural diversity. Close to 50 competitions are held, providing our students with avenues for the expression of every talent.


NSS Club -

The NSS is Gandhiji's scheme to channelise the youth energy for constructive action. Our N.S.S unit takes up activities in the areas of rural health, national integration, rural development, AIDS awareness, blood donation and tree plantation. The N.S.S organizes annual camps in villages, where problems relating to water, health, electricity, sanitation etc are dealt with. Villagers are made aware of the welfare schemes of the Government. Through these camps the volunteers learn civic sense and responsibility.

The NSS unit works in collaboration with Samvada, a NGO, Lions Club and Indian Red Cross Society. In the days to come, the N.S.S unit will broaden its area of action to include current problems, like global warming and climate change.

Annual Camp was organized from 16.01.2012 to 22.01.2012 in Thapasinahalli, Doddaballapura Taluk. The camp was inaugurated by Shree Shree Divyajnananda Mahaswamy, Pushpandaja Ashrama, Tapasinahalli. Students enthusiastically cleaned the school, temple and roads. They created awareness among the villages about the uses of the plant Tulasi, they also collected data about the lack of facilities to the village. Made a report and have submitted to the college.


Movie Club -

Cinema is immensely popular today. But in our preoccupation with cinema as a source of entertainment, we often fail to recognize its educational and social dimensions. Karnataka Chalana Chitra Academy is now taking the message across Karnataka that it is now time to acquaint our students with the educational and social dimensions of cinema. Also, the academy aims to cultivate intelligent, critical appreciation of cinema among viewers. With these objectives the Academy Chairman, Sri Nagabharana, inaugurated the film club in our college. Inaugurating the club, Sri Nagabharana expressed the hope that in the days to come, our students will be exposed to good cinema from across India and the world. Viewing them critically, they will become perceptive judges of this powerful medium.


Women Empowerment Club -

The Centre for Women's Empowerment aims to bring about greater awareness in women / girls in our institution, to empower them to achieve their explicit goals independently.
