Sudharsan College of Education “ There is no wealth higher than knowledge and imparting knowledge to the needy is the noblest of all deeds in the world” The College has obtained permanent recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore (F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed/2006-2007/15873 Dated 11-12-2007. It was affiliated to Bharathidasan University by its Reg.No 038813/D6/2008 Dated 4-3-2008. From 1-7-2008, it has been affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU)under Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 2008 and GO Ms 256 Higher Education (K2) Department 25-06-2008, TNTEU/R/ Affiliation /2008 441 The College is located at a distance of around 6 KM from Pudukkottai Town on Pudukkottai – Kudumianmalai road in Perumanadu village in Pudukkottai district. The College is built in the midst of sylvan surrounding. To fulfil the aspirations of the chairman Shri. V.K.Sundaram to reach the unreached the college has become an oasis of higher learning to the under privileged population of this area. The College of Education has been established with the sole aim of bringing out dedicated teachers in whom knowledge of pedagogy and professional skill are essential and important but far more important is the teacher as a person, his philosophy and attitude towards society and social issues.

The Campus of Sudharsan College of Education is situated Stretches in 5.15 acres on the Pudukkottai-Kudumianmalai road in Perumanadu Village. With a beautiful lawn in the front, the state of the art’ main building speaks volumes about the future vision of the founder, our chairman .At present the college of Education occupies the first floor of the Sudharsan College of Arts and Science. Separate laboratories for Physical and Biological Sciences have been set up for the use of student Teachers. Basic chemicals and instruments are provided in the Laboratories for the training of the student teachers to conduct Experiments required for high school and higher secondary Level.
