August 28, 2025GATE 2026 registration is now open at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for admission to M.Tech and research programs. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
August 25, 2025The GATE 2026 registration has been postponed to August 28, 2025. Regular applications close on September 28, with late submissions accepted until October 9. Exams will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, and results on March 19.
August 07, 2025The TNEA 2025 Round 3 choice filling has started for candidates with ranks between 1,37,711 and 2,39,299 at tneaonline.org. The last day for choice filling is Aug 09, 2025. Tentative allotment will be released on August 10, with confirmation due by August 11.
August 06, 2025The GATE 2026 schedule is now available on gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Registration for GATE 2026 will begin on August 25 and will close on September 25 without a late fee, and on October 6 with a late fee. The exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The results will be announced on March 19, 2026.
Admissions at TEC Chennai
Tagore Engineering College Chennai currently offers admission into a total of 7 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate courses in addition to a handful of research programmes across two streams - Engineering & Technology and Business Administration. At the ug level, TEC Chennai offers admission into the B.E and B.Tech degree programme in specializations like mechanical engineering, information technology, electronics & communication engineering, computer science engineering and aeronautical engineering. At the postgraduate level, courses such as ME in CSE and Environmental Engineering are offered along with the MBA programme.

Students are chosen based on their performance in Tamil Nadu’s HSC examination and through Anna University Chennai’s counselling process (TNEA counselling process). Candidates may also apply directly for admission into the college through the Management Quota.
