Overall: Being a student of BA LLB at DDU Gorakhpur I can say that it is one of the best universities in Uttar Pradesh for Law courses. The faculty are experienced and some of them have been a part of chambers and have contact with UP’s top lawyers for internships. The infrastructure of the university is good and we are provided with all the necessities here. The hostel is also clean and the mess food is okay. The food is homely at the hostel but the warden and security at the girls' hostel are strict.
Placement: As far as placement is concerned, law students have to anyway get internships to get a good company. For students who want to practice, the placement cell and faculties help them to get some good chambers to work under. Also, the placement cell helps law students prepare for govt exams like the UP Judiciary exam, state public service commission exams and more. The law students generally don’t get a direct placement from the campus but for the other courses, DDU Gorakhpur placement is good.
Infrastructure: We have a private library, lecture rooms for law sessions, mock courtrooms, a seminar hall, an auditorium and a big space for sports. As there are many courses offered at the university, there are chances a student get lost in the buildings as they are quite confusing at first. However, the reception has all the information available and the staff is very friendly to help.
Faculty: DDU Gorakhpur LLB faculty is experienced and holds connections with some top lawyers in the state. I got the opportunity to work under A.K Bansal, who is among the top lawyer in UP, with the help of my teacher. Our criminal law teacher is highly qualified and knowledgeable.
Hostel: The girl's hostel at DDU Gorakhpur is clean and tidy. However, the hostel rules are very strict. Girls have to come back to the hostel at 8 PM and no excuses are accepted. The mess facility is included and the timing of the mess is from 7:30 PM. We are also offered breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner at the hostel. Some events are also conducted at the hostel to keep the students entertained.
Overall: I am currently studying in the BBA course at DDU Gorakhpur. In my opinion, our faculties are the plus point of the university. We have some highly qualified faculties like our economics teacher who is a gold medalist in economics. I really like the way he teaches us and the concepts gets easy to understand. Our college infrastructure is not excellent but not bad either. The campus is big and approximately 13000+ students are there at the university. Placement at our college is also good in comparison to other universities in uttar pradesh.
Placement: For the BBA course, DDU Gorakhpur placement is decent. From the beginning of the final year (the fifth semester), we are offered to participate in the placement process. Some top recruiters of BBA courses are Coca-Cola, TCS, are Mahindra. The average package for the BBA courses is around Rs 5 LPA. During the recent placement drive, a student from the final year BBA course was offered Rs 12 lacs highest package. An industrial visit and an internship programme are provided to the students.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is environmentally friendly and green. Moreover, each department has its own building with all the necessities. The DDU campus has a sports field, cafeteria, lecture rooms, mini-auditorium, computer lab, gym, yoga classes, activity room, physics labs, chemistry labs and canteen amenities.
Faculty: I am unaware of other courses but the DDU BBA professors are very educated and some are even PhD holders. The faculty of economics, business, and accountancy are supportive of the students. The examinations are not that tough and we only need to have 40% marks in semester tests. However, the class tests and viva marks are also added to the final results.
Hostel: As I live close to DDU Gorakhpur, I have not taken the hostel facility. But the university does offer hostel facilities to the students. The hostel intake is limited but 1 hostel is there for boys and 1 hostel for girls students is there. The security of the hostel is great and students have to come back to the hostel before 8 (sometimes 9) otherwise warden calls the student’s parents.
Overall: I am currently pursuing B.Sc in Biotechnology from DDU Gorakhpur and my experience has been just magical. The Biotechnology course at DDU Gorakhpur is a popular course with interesting facilities in Uttar Pradesh. It is a state university and has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as well as AIU. It has also been accredited by NAAC with an “A++” grade and consists of 350 affiliated institutions, six faculties/departments, and 32 departments. It is situated at Civil Lines, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station is at a distance of 1.7 km and it will take around 7 minutes to reach.
Placement: The average salary package offered to the students in the 2021 placement drive of DDU Gorakhpur was Rs 2.05 lakh per annum (for LLB course), Rs 1.86 lakh per annum (for LLM course), Rs 1.95 lakh per annum (for MBA course). All placement and pre-placement activities are carried out by the designated placement cell. The cell serves as a conduit between the students and potential employers. The cell offers extensive training to students in order to facilitate easy conduct of DDU Gorakhpur placements. The cell holds sessions such as personality development sessions, guest lecturers, interview and exam simulations, aptitude tests, group discussions, etc.
Infrastructure: DDU Gorakhpur campus is spread over an area of nearly 190 acres and has a modern and well-maintained infrastructure, designed to provide students with a comfortable learning environment. It provides a variety of infrastructure, including academic and administrative blocks, a library, hostels for both girls and boys and sports facilities. There are modern classrooms, lecture halls, seminar halls, and laboratories with modern equipment for easy conduct of practical assessments. The auditorium is the best feature of the university. The classrooms are furnished with contemporary audio-visual technology and are spacious as well as clean.
Faculty: The faculty-student ratio at DDU Gorakhpur is 47:1. You'll feel like you were staying in a small town because the campus is very big and spread over an area of almost 190 acres. Sports facilities, a canteen, girl's and boys' hostels, laboratories, libraries, smart classrooms, Wi-Fi connectivity, laundry facilities, and a lot more are all offered here. You are free to relax in the campus or visit the library after class to study calmly. The events, which include sports, cultural, and other extra-curricular activities, are the cherry on top. If you're interested, you can also join a variety of societies of the university to take part in extracurricular activities.
Overall: DDU is a popular university in Gorakhpur. I am a second-year student of the MBA programme at DDU and here is my review of the university. DDU is one of the oldest universities in India. It encourages female students to pursue higher studies. The university offers a ragging-free atmosphere and an environment-friendly campus to its students. The placement rate is average but the education level is up to the mark. The median salary offered to PG students ranges from 2 LPA to 2.5 LPA. The university provides adequate facilities such as well-maintained hostel and mess facilities, sports, medical and lab facilities. Moot court and theatre are also a part of the infrastructure.
Placement: Average placements are offered at DDU Gorakhpur. However, if you are highly skilled and smart then getting placed is easy. The university has an active placement cell which not only trains students but connects students with prospective employers. MBA students are more likely to get placed as it is a highly sought-after course. The median salary offered to MBA students is around Rs 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure of DDU is above average. The university has hostels for boys and girls. Canteen and mess facilities are available. The sports complex is an important part of the DDU Gorakhpur campus. A health centre is available on the campus. The central library is open from 8 am to 8 pm from Monday to Sunday.
Faculty: Dr Anand Sengupta is the HOD of the Commerce Department. He is a learned and experienced faculty. All the other teachers in the MBA department are also experts in their subjects. Most of them have more than 10 years of teaching experience. They are approachable and student-friendly. The teachers set easy to medium levels of paper. All the papers are designed as per the syllabus. The passing percentage is above 90%.
