Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, also known as HNGU, is a Government University, established in 1986. Located in Patan, Gujarat, HNGU campus spans over 212.5 acres. HNGU Campus Facilities and Infrastructure
The Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University was initially established as the North Gujarat University by the Ordinance No. 5 of 1986 which was later passed as the North Gujarat University Act No.22 of 1986 by the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat. HNGU was carved out of Gujarat University whose Headquarter is presently at Ahmedabad. The university began to serve 41 colleges in the districts of Banaskantha, Mehsana and Sabarkantha. There are two hostel buildings at HNGU Patan for boys and girls. The library has access to a wide range of books, journals and audio books. The Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University campus is spread over 212.50 acres of land. Additionally, it has also received a property worth Rs.10 lakhs as donation from the Gramodhyog Mandal, Patan. Currently, the University Employment Bureau is housed in that building.
