Institute of Technology and Management University (ITMU) is located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. ITM University is a private university and was established in 1997. Established by ‘Samata Lok Sansthan Trust’, ITM University Gwalior is accredited Grade ’B’ by NAAC (the council responsible for allocating grades to the universities). Also, the university has been recognized by other entities such as UGC and AICTE. The University offers various courses such as UG and PG, including BTech, BCA, BCom, BA, BSc, MTech, MSc, and MBA and many others.  These courses are offered through 14 schools that impart knowledge in different streams- Schools of Engineering and Technology, Sciences, Management, Education, Nursing, Physical Science, and others. The courses offered by the university are approved by various regulatory bodies including the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the Council of Architecture, the Indian Nursing Council, the Pharmacy Council of India, the National Council of Teacher Education, the Bar Council of India, and the MP Paramedical Council.

Established in 2015, Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University, also known as MCBU, is a prestigious state-owned institution located in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. It is recognized and accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and serves as the affiliating body for colleges in the Chhatarpur district as well as various other districts such as Niwari, Damoh, Sagar, Panna, and Tikamgarh. Approximately 149+ colleges across six districts in the state are affiliated with MCBU. The university bears accreditation from various institutes such as AICTE, AIU, AISHE, and MPCST.

However, despite these merits, there are pressing security concerns within the campus area. Incidents of theft targeting students have been reported, along with tragic instances of a student's murder on campus. The vast expanse of the North Campus often fosters dense populations and isolation, creating opportunities for illicit activities. Moreover, there are distressing accounts of female students facing harassment from professors. Addressing these safety and security issues is imperative to foster a safe and conducive learning environment for all students at Andhra University

Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University is a utate University that is located in Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur and was established by the Governor of Chhattisgarh in 2005.
