    Kannur University Overview

    Kannur University was established in 1995 as ‘Malabar University’. It was later renamed ‘Kannur University’ under the Act 22 of 1996 of the Kerala Legislative Assembly. The university has received B++ grade from NAAC. Kannur University campus comprises nine campuses at Kannur, Kasaragod, Nileswaram, Mangattuparamba, Mananthavady, Payyannur and Thalassery. The facilities provided along with the Kannur University infrastructure are upgraded from time to time for the holistic development of its students. Classrooms, laboratories, an anti-ragging cells, UGC – HRD Centre, SOAFT, a central library, an IT centre, and a stadium are some of the top Kannur University facilities.

    Kannur University Admissions 2023

    Kannur University admissions are done both on the basis of merit as well as on the basis of entrance exams. Kannur University admission to the UG and PG programmes in government/aided/self-financing affiliated colleges are done under the choice-based credit and semester (CBCS) system. Admission to Kannur University UG and PG degree programmes in the university teaching departments/centres will be made on the basis of online centralized allotment.  KMAT/CAT/CMAT is the basis of Kannur University admission to MBA course. B.P.Ed.,M.P.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes are not included in the centralized allotment process (CAP). Candidates willing to apply for these programmes shall apply directly to the concerned department once the Kannur University admission notification is out.

    Kannur University Admission Process 2023

    • Candidates who are willing to take admission in Kannur University UG and PG programme under the CBCS system must first and foremost meet the eligibility criteria set for the respective courses.
    • Once the eligibility criteria are met, candidates must register for the respective entrance exams. For instance, for admission to Kannur University MBA course, candidates must qualify KMAT/CAT/MAT.
    • Candidates can register for the entrance exams by visiting the official website. Some entrance exams are conducted by the university itself which is updated in the Kannur University website from time to time.
    • Candidates need to appear and qualify for the respective entrance exam to proceed with the next step in the Kannur University admission process.
    • Next, candidates need to complete the Kannur University application process by filling the form, attaching the required documents as well as paying the registration fee.
    • Once the application is submitted and the entrance exam results are out. Kannur University cut off 2023 will be released based on the respective exams. The Kannur University cut-off 2023 will vary as per the category of the students.
    • A merit list will be released thereafter based on the Kannur University cutoff 2023 list. Candidates whose names are listed will be shortlisted for the online centralized allotment process.
    • At CAP 2023 candidates will be allotted seats in the affiliated colleges. Candidates have to select their preferred institute at this stage Thereafter they need to pay the Kannur University admission fees and get their documents verified.
       

    Kannur University Application Process 2023

    • To begin with the application process, candidates need to visit the Kannur University official website
    • Candidates need to then register themselves using their email id and password. Candidates must provide the correct communication details as all the Kannur University admission related details will be communicated to the students through the given contact information.
    • Once the candidates have registered they need to then fill up the Kannur University application form by providing the relevant details and attaching the necessary documents.
    • Once the application is filled, candidates need to pay the Kannur University application fee through SBI ePay.
    • Candidates must keep a copy of their filled in application form and payment slip for future reference.
       

    Kannur University Online Centralised Allotment Process 2023

    Step 1: Trial AllotmentThe trial allotment enables the candidate to assess his or her chances of admission to Kannur University. Candidate should be aware that trial selection does not guarantee admission. This allocation occurs after the registration process is completed.
    Step 2: First AllotmentThe first allotment will be published on the Kannur University official website after the trial allotment has been released and candidates have revised their options. At this stage, shortlisted candidates must pay the university fee in order to be admitted.
    Step 3: Admission Fee PaymentCandidates must pay the Kannur University admission fee only through the online portal available on the official website's allotment page. The student should keep a copy of the same for future reference.
    Step 4: Cancellation/Activation of options after the first allotmentCandidates must cancel all options after paying the fee if they are satisfied with the one assigned. Those who want to consider other options can only do so within the "alloted" list. At this time, no new colleges can be added.
    Step 5: Second Allotment and Remittance of FeeThe second allotment will be the same as that of the first allotment process.
    Step 6: Allotment Memo DownloadCandidates must login to their homepage using their Kannur University application number and password after the second allotment to download the memo. At the time of admission, the allotment memo must be presented to the Principal. It will include the candidate's personal information, the college, the program to which the candidate has been assigned, and the date of reporting to the college to take admission. Make a copy of it as well.

    Kannur University admissions are done on the basis of CBCS system for UG programmes and PG programmes(government-aided/self-financing/aided). For PG programmes offered by university departments, Kannur University admissions are done through the online centralised allotment process.     Overall: I have a lot of memories of my college,the lectures are very close with students.Everyone one is helping each other. The election time was very Memorable moments of my life.

    Placement: We will get placement as fast than other colleges. Because this college need to make a good generation. If we have good skill 100% sure that will get placement in this college

    Infrastructure: Every year they will renew the college, and it will helps to students. The corridor and garden was beautiful. Very eco friendly nature college. We'll get relaxation

    Faculty: The faculties are very friendly and helping each students who seek help.Very efficient and good faculties are there in my college. They inspire us to achieve goals.

    Hostel: The kannur university hostels are very neet and clean. They serve quality food for the students. In a week we will get 6 days non-veg food. Very disciplined Hostel.
