A common entrance exam administered by Bharathiar University will be used to determine GIM admission to the research programmes, and an interview will follow. • The applicant must have qualified for the Master’s Degree in Management.
• Candidates must have scored at least 55% in their qualifying exam (for SC/ST candidates, the minimum eligibility is 50%).
• A professor employed by the university or one of its related departments, high schools, polytechnics, higher secondary schools, or colleges linked with other universities.
• Anyone having at least two years of professional experience after earning their professional certification, such as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary, or other professional, is entitled to register for a PhD. In the case of ACA/AICWA/ACS, the subject for registration may be the same as the subject of professional credentials. The handbooks may come from the departments of business, management studies, economics, or other relevant fields.
• Any permanent employee of a government office, private or public limited company, recognised factory, institution, research institution, educational institution, or business who has successfully completed probation and who holds a Master's degree with a minimum of 50% of the marks in the qualifying examination is eligible for PhD registration in the relevant discipline. This includes the Board of Directors, the Proprietor, and the Partner.
• Candidates must present a NOC from their employers in order to register in a government-sponsored or government-aided college in Tamilnadu or another State.
  Subject to presenting a NOC from the HOD/Head of the Employer, candidates from outside Tamilnadu who are employed by National Institutes (such as NIT, CSIR, etc.) are permitted to register for a part-time PhD.
