Institute of Forensic Science (IFSc) Nagpur B.Sc Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc admissions at the Institute of Forensic Science states the candidates should have - 

  • Completed their class XIIth studies from a Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education recognised institution (or an equivalent examination)

  • Studied Science subjects at the qualifying level in addition to English and other modern Indian Languages

  • Secured at least 45% aggregate at the qualifying examination (40% for the reserved category candidates)

  • Click on the “Register” tab to begin the application process for B.Sc admissions at IFSc Nagpur

  • Enter all your basic personal details such as name, father’s name and last name and click on the “Register Me” tab

  • After successfully registering, a window will appear bearing your name, registration ID and passcode. Click in the “Continue” button to proceed to the next step

  • Again, a new page will open up asking for your various personal details like address, date of birth, pin code etc. You have to enter all the details correctly to proceed to the next step

  • In this step, you will be asked to provide your domicile status bank account details

  • In the following step, you will be asked to provide your previous educational qualification details 

  • After your educational qualifications, you will be asked to upload your photograph and signature

  • In the next step, you will have to pay the application fee 

  • Post successful payment of application fee, you will be directed to take out a copy of the submitted application fee

Institute of Forensic Science (IFSc) Nagpur M.Sc Eligibility Criteria 2020

Students who have a B.Sc degree in Forensic Science where they have also studied all the optional papers related to the field of Forensic Science from a UGC recognised University/Institution (or any other Apex Body of India) are eligible to apply for M.Sc admission at IFSc Nagpur. Foreign students can also apply for IFSc Nagpur M.Sc admission provided they have the requisite qualification from a recognised foreign university. Those who have a B.Sc degree in which they have studied Forensic Science related paper as optional paper are not eligible.

The application forms for M.Sc admissions at IFSc Nagpur is released on the official website of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and the link for the same is made available on the official site of Institute of Forensic Science Nagpur. Interested students have to, first of all, register themselves upon which they will be provided with a unique login Id and password. With the help of the login Id and passcode, the applicants will have to fill up the application form for M.Sc admission at IFSc Nagpur. Along with the application form, the applicants have to upload their recent passport-sized photograph, signature and all the important documents. 

Applicants can also send their respective applications via speed post or registered post. In case of offline application, the applicants have to pay the application fee through a demand draft in favour of Registrar, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University payable at Nagpur.

Institute of Forensic Science (IFSc) Nagpur PGD Eligibility Criteria 2020

For admission into the PGD programme of Institute of Forensic Science (IFSc) Nagpur, the applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in - 

  • Science (not life sciences)

  • Law (with knowledge of computers)

  • IT Engineering (in computer science)

  • Computer Applications

  • Computer Science

  • Commerce (with knowledge of computer applications)

with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category candidates). Also, MCA and MCM degree holders are eligible for IFSc Nagpur PGD programmes. For admission into the postgraduate diploma programme in forensic science and related law (1-year programme), Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Law and Science stream with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category candidates) are eligible to apply. 

Candidates who did not obtain their qualifying degrees from the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University have to obtain an eligibility certificate from the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
