PSG Institute of Management MBA/PGDM Admissions Eligibility 2019
For admission in management courses, the candidates should have a minimum of 55% in bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a recognized university and a valid score in MAT/TANCET/ATMA/CAT exam. Minimum 2 years of work experience is mandatory to pursue a part-time management course and post graduation diploma in management course (PGDM). The work experience is not mandatory for the MBA full-time course.
Candidates applying for the 3-year MBA part-time course must possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Selection is based on the MAT (Management Aptitude Test) score.
PSG Institute of Management MBA/PGDM Admissions Application Process 2019
The candidates have to appear for the entrance exam MAT/TANCET/ATMA/CAT before applying to the postgraduate course at PSGIM. For registration, the candidates have to visit the official website of the respective entrance exam and fill the application form completely with the relevant details. The candidates with a valid score are eligible to apply for admission in PSG Institute of Management.
The candidates who have qualified CAT/MAT entrance exam can apply for MBA/PGDM course through the official website of the college.
After visiting the website of the college, the candidates have to click on the ‘Apply Now’ button available under the ‘Admissions’ tab. Applicants have to fill the application form with the required details and upload a scanned passport size photograph. The application fee for management courses is Rs. 1000/- which is non-refundable and can be paid through demand draft/debit card/credit card /net banking. Candidates will receive a confirmation after successful submission of the application form. Within two weeks, the shortlisted candidates will receive an invitation letter along with the dates of interview.
Please note that the candidates who have qualified the TANCET entrance exam have to appear for the central counseling process conducted by the Anna University. For this, the candidates have to register online and fill the application form available at the official website of Anna University. Once registration is done, the applicants will have to go through the choice filling online and report to one of the nodal centers for document verification and payment of the counseling/University registration fee. The seats will be allotted to the candidates based on the choices submitted online. Lastly, the candidate has to report to the allotted college and pay the academic fee.
PSG Institute of Management MBA/PGDM Admissions Selection Process 2019
The entrance test MAT/TANCET/ATMA/CAT usually happens in the month of February, June, and November respectively. The selection criterion at PSGIM depends on the group discussion and personal interview.
Shortlisting of Applicants: PSGIM shortlists the applicants based on their score in MAT/TANCET/ATMA/CAT entrance exam. Class 10th, 12th and graduation marks or percentage scored by candidates will also be considered for preliminary shortlisting.
Group Discussion: The shortlisted candidates will be invited to take part in Group Discussion in the specified venue. Group Discussion round will have certain weightage in the selection process.
Personal Interview: After the group discussion, the candidates must take part in the personal interview. The candidates must note that Personal Interview (PI) will also have a specific weightage in the selection process.
Final Selection: After GD and PI, the final evaluation of candidates will be done based on his/ her performance in the entrance exam (MAT/TANCET/ATMA/CAT), Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Previous Academic Performance, Extra-Curricular Activities and Work Experience (if any).
