The AIT Ahmedabad admission process only accepts online applications. To register for the required admission exams, candidates must visit the applicable official website for any B.E., M.E., or MBA specialisation.
AIT requires admission/ entrance tests for all of its programmes. The entrance exams accepted for admission are Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET), GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (GUJ PGCET), Common Aptitude Test (CAT), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) or other equivalent entrance exams.
The GATE 2026 correction window is now active at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can make necessary edits to their application forms through the GOAPS portal until November 3, 2025.
The CAT 2025 admit card will be released on November 5, 2025, at iimcat.ac.in. Candidates can access and download their hall tickets by logging in with their CAT ID and password. The CAT 2025 examination is set to take place on November 30, 2025.
The CMAT 2026 registration process is now open at cmat.nta.nic.in. Candidates can fill out the application form until November 17, 2025, and pay the application fee by November 18, 2025. The correction window will be active from November 20 to 21, 2025. The exam date for CMAT 2026 will be announced shortly.
The registration for JEE Main 2026 is expected to begin on October 15, 2025, at jeemain.nta.nic.in and will remain open until November 2025. The Session 1 of the JEE Main 2026 exam is scheduled for January 2026, while Session 2 will take place in April 2026

The course of BE is offered at Ahmedabad Institute of Technology for students who aspire to pursue higher education in engineering. The eligibility criteria for BE at AIT states that the candidate should have completed class 12th in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Students belonging to the general category must have scored 45% marks in class 12th while those who fall in other categories should have 40% marks.
In order to be eligible for MBA at AIT, candidates have to complete their education up to the graduation level. Students who have a bachelor's degree in any stream from a university or college that has been recognised by the UGC can apply for MBA admission ar Ahmedabad Institute of Technology. The candidate, if he/ she belongs to the general category, must have scored at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate in their undergraduate degree. Students hailing to the reserved categories are given a relaxation of 5 per cent and thus, they must have obtained no less than 45 per cent marks in graduation.
Candidates seeking admission to a Master of Engineering course at Ahmedabad Institute of Technology have to meet the M.E. eligibility criteria of AIT first. They should ensure before applying for the programme that they have completed their education up to the graduation level. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) or B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) are eligible for M.E. admissions at AIT. The general candidates must have scored at least 50 per cent marks in graduation while the students belonging to the reserved categories should have a minimum of 45 per cent marks in aggregate. The selection process of AIT is carried out by both the college management and ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses).
