AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT), Pune, recently hosted an important meeting to explore international academic collaboration with Meiji Gakuin University, Japan. The focus of the discussion was to launch a student and faculty exchange program, which would help promote both academic and cultural learning opportunities.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. P.B. Mane, Principal of AISSMS IOIT, and Dr. Meenakshi A. Thalor, Dean – International Partnership Cell. They engaged in detailed discussions with Dr. Prajakta Khare, Associate Professor at Meiji Gakuin University, and Mr. Shailendra Gosawami, Chairman & Managing Director of Pushkaraj Group.
The dialogue highlighted the importance of global exposure for students and faculty members. Both institutions expressed strong interest in working together to build academic partnerships. The meeting also opened the door for a possible Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AISSMS IOIT, Meiji Gakuin University, and Pushkaraj Group.
If finalized, this collaboration will enable students and faculty from both countries to participate in exchange programs, joint research, and cultural activities. Such opportunities are expected to broaden horizons, build cross-cultural understanding, and enhance academic growth.
Through initiatives like this, AISSMS IOIT continues to build its international presence and provide students with a learning environment that goes beyond classrooms. The All-India Shree Shivaji Memorial Society's Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT) organized its Induction Program for first-year engineering students on 15 September 2025. The program was conducted in two sessions. The morning session was held for the Computer, Electrical, Electronics, and Telecommunication branches, while the afternoon session was for Instrumentation, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science branches.
In the morning, the chief guest Dr. Kaustubh V. Sakhare, Sr. Lead Engineer at Lear Corporation, India, motivated students to set clear goals, gain technical knowledge, develop problem-solving skills, improve soft skills, and maintain ethical values. He emphasized how engineers play a vital role in building a better society through technology and encouraged students to make the best use of institute facilities.
The afternoon session was graced by Mr. Sunil Bhatambrekar, Advisor at C4i4 Lab and Sr. Freelance Consultant, Pune. He guided students to focus on fundamentals, understand company selection processes, and pursue industry-relevant courses. He also advised them to constantly upgrade their skills to keep pace with technological changes.
On this occasion, Hon. Secretary Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati sent his best wishes to the new students, and Hon. Joint Secretary Mr. Suresh Shinde offered valuable guidance. Dr. P. B. Mane, Principal, introduced the institute and its facilities, while Dr. M. P. Gajre, HOD, introduced the First Year Department. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Nidhi Sharma in the first session and Mr. A. S. Apate in the second session.
The induction program marked the beginning of the academic journey for the new batch of students, inspiring them to aim high and prepare for a successful engineering career.
AISSMS IOIT successfully conducted the three-day event ‘TENET 2024’ from September 04 to 06, 2024. On the first day of the event, the inaugural ceremony was conducted, and soon after that ‘Tech-Fiesta’ began. During the inauguration of the event, the Chief Marine Engineer of the Merchant Navy, Mr. Prafulla Bhaurao Deshmukh, graced the venue as the chief guest. The AI Summit Panel featured distinguished speakers, including Mr. Uday Kothari, Mr. Atul Mehra, and Mr. Nishant Welpulkar while in the Web3 panel were Mrs. Almas Sayyed, Mr. Apoorav Vyas, and Mr. Vishnu Korde. On the first day, competitions, like Capture the Flag, Drone Workshop, and Den of Code, were conducted.
On the second day, the event was named ‘MUN and eSports’ which was graced by Chief Guest, Lieutenant Colonel Sir Ranjitsingh. During the event, students engaged in dynamic debates and discussions across six committees: AIPPM, UNSC, UNCSW, UNHRC, UNODC, and IPC. In addition, eSports tournaments for FIFA and BGMI were also organised. In the evening, the Navratri Carnival was also celebrated.
The theme for the last day of the event was ‘E-Summit and Closing’. During the last day of the event, a range of insightful sessions like Starting Up in College, HR Summit, Venture Summit, and Investing Arena were held.
AISSMS Institute of Information Technology will conduct the event ‘TENET 2024’ under the IOIT MUN '24. This event will be conducted on October 5 & 6, 2024 at the college campus. Those who are interested in the event can register for participation by paying the registration fee of Rs 1800. Group delegations with five or more participants need to pay only Rs 1500 per delegate. Programmes like capture the flag, investing arena, BGMI LAN tournament, and cultural night will be held during TENET 2024.
AISSMS IOIT Pune is conducting the IOIT Model United Nations (MUN) debate from October 13 to October 14, 2023. Participants will have the opportunity to debate various global issues, such as the marginalisation of the LGBTQ+ community, the expansion of the United Nations Security Council, strengthening International cooperation in cybersecurity, the Ukraine emergency, and the women's reservation bill and political empowerment. Group entries of five are also available at the AISSMS IOIT event. In addition to the debate, participants will be served breakfast, lunch, tea, and an exclusive MUN Kit.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry Test (WB JELET) 2025 result is expected to be declared by November 20, 2025. Students who appeared for the entrance examination, held on June 15, 2025, will soon be able to check WB JELET result 2025 on the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet/. Usually, it takes around 12-15 days from the date of releasing the OMR sheet. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will publish the WB JELET result 2025 PDF on the portal, and candidates will be able to check their scores and ranks using their login credentials.

Vignan University VSAT 2026 Notification Released: The Vignan Foundation for Science, Technology & Research invites applications through VSAT 2026 for admissions in different undergraduate programmes like B.Tech, B.Pharma, B.Sc Agriculture, BBA, and so on. Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test (VSAT) is a university-level entrance examination conducted by Vignan University for aspirants who wish to be admitted to various campuses named VSAT (Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test) every year. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online from the official website. The deadline to apply for VSAT is February 25, 2026. The examination is likely to be held from March to April 2026, in various centres.
The merit list for the exam will be announced by NTA, and those who make it to the merit list may become eligible for a scholarship that will cover a part of their tuition fees based on their ranks. The university also informed that selection will be on the basis of VSAT score, counselling and seat allotment. This exam allows students another route to be admitted beyond national-level tests such as the JEE or state engineering exams.
