 BCAS was named after a great mathematician of 12th Century was set up in October, 1995. The college is affiliated to the University of Delhi and is funded by Government of National Territory of Delhi. The main goal of the institution is to train students in various self oriented professional courses like Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation and Food Technology.

 Within a short span of time, the college has achieved remarkable recognition as one of the few excellent institutions in Delhi. Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences is housed in a spacious new building sprawled over ten acres at Sector 2,Dwarka, New Delhi. The new college campus has twelve departments out of which ten departments have 3 laboratories each. In addition to this there is a Conference Room, an Audio Visual Hall, Library spanning three separate floors, an open Air Theatre and indoor and outdoor sports facility. In addition to classroom lectures, the course curriculum also includes seminars, industrial tour, project training, etc.

The project training helps in experiencing the working culture in the industry whereas the seminars provide first hand information and an opportunity to interact with the eminent personalities of industries. At Bhaskaracharya College, believe in holistic education that goes beyond achieving academic excellence and vocational training.

Overview Placement

Placement cell of the college look after training and placement of students. The cell coordinates with industries and organizations (R&D) to explore the employment opportunities and invites these organizations to the college campus for placements. The cell also works in tandem with central placement cell of University of Delhi for internship as well as placement. Last year, apre-placement session of TCS, the largest software services company in India, was held in August 2015. The Ignite team of TCS provides a free, web-based learning platform called “Open Ignite” which is the largest community of science graduates in the country. It helps the science students to launch their career by improving their chances of being employed. Arrangements were also made for faculty and students to watch the live telecast of the launch of the “start-up India program” by the Govt. of India.
