Overall Performance Review: A Student’s Perspective

Overall: My overall experience at the college has been a mix of highs and lows. While the academic atmosphere is decent and there are opportunities for growth, there are still several areas that need serious improvement—especially in management, hostel facilities, and placement support. The environment is generally safe, and there are some dedicated faculty members, but the lack of proper communication and timely responses from the administration often makes things frustrating. With a bit more attention to student needs and better infrastructure, this college could offer a much better overall experience.

Placement: The placement opportunities at the college are limited and mostly depend on the student's own effort. A few companies do visit the campus, but they are usually offering low packages and mostly for non-core roles. There's a lack of proper placement training, career guidance, and industry exposure. Many students end up applying off-campus due to the lack of strong placement support. The college needs to build better industry connections and focus on skill development programs to improve the placement scenario.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average and could use significant upgrades. While some classrooms are equipped with basic amenities like projectors and fans, others feel outdated and lack proper maintenance. The library has a decent collection of books, but the reading space is limited and not very student-friendly. Labs are functional but not always well-equipped with modern tools or enough materials for all students. The campus has potential, but better upkeep, improved facilities, and more student-centric spaces are definitely needed to match current standards.

Faculty: The faculty at the college is a mix of experienced and new teachers. Some professors are genuinely knowledgeable and supportive, always ready to help students beyond the classroom. However, not all faculty members maintain the same level of dedication or teaching quality. In a few departments, classes can feel rushed or less engaging. Communication with students could be improved, and more focus on practical learning would be helpful. Overall, the faculty is decent, but there's definitely room for more consistency and student-focused teaching.

Hostel: The hostel facilities are quite basic and lack many essential amenities. Rooms are often cramped, and cleanliness is not maintained regularly. There’s no proper Wi-Fi connectivity, and the washrooms need urgent renovation. Food quality in the mess is average at best and repetitive, with very limited healthy or hygienic options. There is also no special care or attention given to hostel life or student well-being. Overall, the hostel needs major improvement in both infrastructure and management to provide a comfortable living experience for students.

A Memorable Journey of Learning and Growth

Overall: My time at college has been a blend of learning and great memories. The faculty are genuinely helpful and know their stuff—they’ve really guided me throughout. The campus is nice, with decent classrooms and a good library to study in. We had a lot of fun during college events and fests, which made things lively. Placements could definitely be better, but the exposure and skills I gained along the way were worth it. All in all, it’s a place where I learned, grew, and made some unforgettable experiences.

Placement: The college provides decent exposure that helps students prepare for the job market. While placements may not be guaranteed for everyone, the faculty and curriculum focus on building real-world skills, especially through practical assignments, workshops, and industry interactions. A few reputed companies do visit for recruitment, and some students have landed good roles, especially those who take initiative. With more effort from the placement cell and better company tie-ups, the placement scenario could improve even more.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is pretty decent overall. Classrooms are spacious, the library has a good collection of books, and the computer labs are functional. The campus is generally clean and well looked after. There’s Wi-Fi in most areas, though the speed can be patchy at times. The canteen has enough space to sit and chill, but the food options are quite limited. Sports facilities are there, but they could really use some improvement. In short, the campus supports learning, but with a few updates and better maintenance, it could be even better.

Faculty: The college offers excellent facilities for Journalism and Mass Communication students. The faculty is one of the biggest strengths here — highly talented, with rich industry experience, including experts in radio, broadcasting, and even international exposure. The media lab, editing suites, and audio recording studios are well-equipped and help bridge the gap between theory and real-world practice. Guest lectures, practical assignments, and access to industry-standard tools make the learning experience truly valuable. For aspiring media professionals, the college provides the right mix of infrastructure and expert guidance.

Hostel: The hostel is decent and provides all the basic stuff you need—clean rooms, drinking water, and 24/7 security. It’s generally peaceful, which makes it a good place to focus on studies. The mess food is okay—some days it’s good, other days not so much. Washrooms are cleaned regularly, but sometimes maintenance takes a while. There’s Wi-Fi, but it can be unreliable. Overall, it’s a safe and affordable option for students, but better food and a little more attention to cleanliness would really make a difference.

A Good Journey with a Few Bumps Along the Way

Overall: Honestly, my overall experience at the college has been okay. Academics are mostly well-managed, and things like classes and exams happen on time. Some teachers are really helpful and know their stuff, which makes a difference. But when it comes to things beyond studies — like hostel life, communication, or how student issues are handled — there's definitely room to improve. Sometimes it feels like the management is a bit disconnected from what students actually need or go through. There’s also not much flexibility or proper communication when changes happen, and that can be frustrating. It’s not a bad place, but it doesn’t really stand out either. With some upgrades in student facilities and more open-minded, student-friendly management, this college could be a much better experience overall.

Placement: There is a placement cell, and they do make efforts, but the overall support — like training, resume building, mock interviews, etc. — could be much better. Sometimes it feels like students are left to figure things out on their own. If you’re serious about getting placed, you’ll probably need to take extra effort outside of what the college provides — like internships, certifications, or personal projects. Overall, placements happen, but the college shouldn’t be your only plan — it’s better to be proactive and not depend completely on the system.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average — it has the essentials, but nothing that really stands out. Classrooms are usable but could definitely be better in terms of cleanliness, furniture, and tech support. Some buildings are well-maintained, while others feel a bit outdated. The library and labs are there, but many of the resources feel old or limited. Wi-Fi is available, but it doesn’t always work properly, especially when you actually need it. Common spaces like corridors or washrooms also need more regular cleaning and attention.

Faculty: Communication varies too — while some teachers are friendly and easy to talk to, others feel distant or unapproachable. That said, the experienced faculty members definitely bring value, especially in core subjects. Overall, it’s a decent experience. With a bit more consistency in teaching quality and student interaction, the faculty could become one of the college’s strongest points.

Hostel: Rules are quite strict, which is understandable to some extent, but at times they feel unnecessarily rigid and not student-friendly. There’s also not much effort to create a homely or comfortable vibe — it just feels like a place to stay, nothing more. Overall, the hostel gives you shelter, but don’t expect much beyond the basics. It could be a lot better with more care, better food, and a bit of attention to student comfort.

Infrastructure: I have friends in different departments, they say there lab is well equipped and those equipments are upgraded daily. We didn't have lab sessions in 1st sem but there after you'll get labs.

Hostel: Not very good , don't provide very good food . Way to many strict as far as I get to know. But overall a good environment for study, comfortable beds , router available here and other necessary services are nice as far Information I have.

Overall: Amazing experience! Very supportive faculties! Very good online class pattern! Very user friendly students forum! Regular seminars and programmes! Great placement facilities! Great infrastructure! Great industry exposure facilities!

Placement: Shocked? Don't be...that's a reality here in Brainware University.. you get placed to some of the best companies while you are still studying..now that's something to consider while looking for admission. The present batch of masscom , who are in their first year, have got students doing internships from many companies and to be very honest this is not something you find in other colleges, henceforth the brainware University does score high when you consider placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure itself speaks of itself. Packed with most of the mordern amenities and ample of space for recreation!. Also has a swimming pool, a pond, a sports field and a canteen ! If that's not enough than the environment will surely move you .. spread across 7 acres of area and covered with greenery all around makes study a delight.

Faculty: The facilities are from some of the most experienced people from their fields! This helps you get an all-round development for being industry ready! You also get regular seminars held by some of the industry leaders which increase your success potential exponentially! Success means brainware!

Hostel: The pandemic has forced the hostel to close down but when interacted with my seniors who are the hosteliers of our university, they've never complained about it..infact they told me stuffs about the hostel which sometimes did made me wanna join the hostel it self.. starting from food to facilities..the hostel has it all.
