The Columbia Institute of Engineering & Technology (CIET) was formed in 2008 by the Jan Pragati Education Society. The school is affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai and is recognized by the AICTE and is ISO 9001‑2000 certified. The school has a sprawling lush green campus offering undergraduate, postgraduate, management and diploma courses both technical and non-technical including B.Tech programs in CSE, AI & Data Science, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil, M.Tech, MBA (dual specializations). The campus has excellent infrastructure including Wi‑Fi connected smart classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, central library, hostel and sports facilities, and a cafeteria with transport. CIET has a strong Training & Placement cell that enabled recruiters such as Wipro, HCL, Tata Tele-services and more to place students this year at packages varying from ₹10–16 LPA.
