To reduce the stress of job aspirants, the IITs will soon restrict the limit number of companies participating in placements on a single day from next year.
Several IITs of the country have proposed to increase the intake of students to 460 from the next academic session 2017-18.
Though old IITs saw a bit of a slump in 2016 placements, young IITs have outperformed themselves and have set new placement records.
While Flipkart, Snapdeal and 28 such startups have been banned from campus placements by the IITs, their counterparts Amazon and Paytm are recruiting from IITs.
