The University of Jodhpur was renamed Jai Narain Vyas University or JNVU. In 1962, the University of Jodhpur was founded, and four government colleges in Jodhpur were absorbed into the university. This was Rajasthan's only residential university, serving the needs of students from western Rajasthan (the Marwar) primarily.

Jai Narain Vyas University Jodhpur offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs. The Jai Narain Vyas University course list includes BA, B.Com, B.Sc, MBA, PhD, LLM, and more. It is a government university, so the JNVU Jodhpur fee structure is minimal, with the fee for BA being Rs 420 per month. The BA, B.Com, and B.Sc courses at JNVU are all three-year courses divided into six semesters, while MA, M.Com, and M.Sc are two-year courses with four semesters. JNVU Jodhpur Admission Process 2023

• To apply for admission to JNVU Jodhpur, candidates must visit the official website and navigate to the "Student's Corner" tab, where they can find the "Admission" tab in the dropdown menu. 
• From there, they can select their desired course and complete the online application form. Along with the application form, candidates must upload self-attested copies of their Class 12 certificate and Graduation & Post Graduation mark sheets (if applicable), as well as a valid caste certificate for OBC/SC/ST (if applicable), a certificate from a valid medical officer for PH (if applicable), and a certificate from the magistrate for Kashmiri migrants (if applicable). 
• Once all required documents have been uploaded, candidates must pay the application fee, the details of which can be found on the course page of the university's website.

JNVU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and admission to these courses is based on the merit list or JNVU cut off. While not all courses require passing the cutoff, courses such as BE, B.Arch, MBA, B.Ed, and others do require it. The JNVU Jodhpur cutoff for admission to courses offered in 2023 will be released a few days after the qualifying exam results. 

Cutoff is the minimum rank or marks needed to qualify for admission, and it varies depending on the course and candidate category. Once the Jai Narain Vyas University cutoff is released, candidates meeting the criteria will be called for counselling and seat allocation.

The 315.40 hectares of the land campus of JNVU has everything a student will need for their overall development. The campus is located at Bhagat ki Kothi, Pali Road, Jodhpur. The university believes in providing the students with the best environment for learning and the most advanced infrastructure for professional growth. The JNVU Jodhpur campus houses classroom complexes, student, faculty, and residential staff quarters, a healthcare centre that is operational 24 hours, and an administration block. In addition, the campus is well equipped with a sports ground for indoor and outdoor games, a gym, ATM, library, mess, and shopping facilities.

• Hostel – JNVU Jodhpur hostel is spacious and well-furnished, with the availability of a large dining hall. With a total of seventeen hostels provided with recreational facilities such as TVs, health clubs, indoor games, and PCOs, each hostel has its live-in wardens and a faculty member who administers the accommodation. It is to be noted that admission to JNVU doesn't ensure guaranteed hostel accommodation due to the limited capacity of the hostels. JNVU offers accommodation to the applicants based on different factors. For example, there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. 2 hostels are available for both girls and boys.
• Gym - The Gymnasium is part of JNVU campus facilities. Students can take care of their health and fitness by making use of this gymnasium facility provided by the university. The gym is well equipped with exercise and training equipment. The gym helps the students to stay fit and healthy.
• Sports – The JNVU Jodhpur campus has outdoor and indoor games facilities for students' recreation, including basketball, badminton, tennis courts, cricket, and football grounds. The campus sports ground also has a running track. The university also promotes sports like weight-lifting, taekwondo, trekking, and mountaineering. 
• Cafeteria – The air-conditioned cafeteria facilities provided by the university include Chinese, Indian, and south Indian cuisines. There is another split cafeteria available for coffee and snacks on the campus.

• Wifi – The university has high-speed wifi connectivity in all laboratories, libraries, hostels, auditoriums and seminar halls, and even guest houses. The campus has been using the new standard for next-generation wireless technology for wifi networks so that the teachers, students, and support staff can easily access the data, voice, multimedia, and video conferencing services as well as research, e-learning, and business applications.
• IT Infrastructure – JNVU Jodhpur has set up facilities for in-house use of E-mail, Computers, and internet services for all students, project staff, and faculty members. This unit of the university offers a variety of E-services to the students in the context of literature search, computation, and graphics.
• Laboratories – JNVU Jodhpur laboratories are air-conditioned and equipped with various modern instrumental facilities inside them related to all the fields. They are sophisticated but well-equipped, where more than 40 students can perform their experiments simultaneously. The instruments available in the laboratory include UV spectrophotometer: Double beam OD measurement, Magnetic stirrer, Multi-parameter: 6 parameters, namely pH, TDS, ORP, Salinity, Temp, millivolt, Hot air oven, and Digital oven, Rotary flask shaker, UV transilluminator, Dual Orbitex shaker with compressor and many more.
