MBA From IITs 2022

When we think of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the only thing that we instantly relate them to are the engineering courses. However, in the past two decades, IITs have introduced some interesting changes that have also helped them earn a name and reputation with regards to the MBA programmes that are offered here. All the IITs are conducting the Personal Interview (PI) as per their released schedule. The registrations for MBA admission at IIT 2022 started on January 04. The last date to fill the application form for MBA admissions at IIT is January 31, 2022.

If you are planning to pursue MBA from IITs, it is definitely a great choice as the management departments of IITs are in the league of the top IIMs of India. In fact, among the top government-owned B-schools in India, the management schools of IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay rank at the 5th and 8th position respectively. IITs offer many management programmes like MBA (Masters in Business Administration), P.G.P.Ex (Executive MBA), PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management), MBA Telecom Management, etc. Candidates who are interested in pursuing these courses can check out all the details given in this article about MBA from IITs.

How is IIT MBA Different from IIM MBA?

The real question is how is IIT MBA different from the IIM MBA? Well, while the IIMs have been in existence for a very long time now, MBA from IITs is a comparatively new concept and offering. The curriculum structure offered by the IITs and IIMs is different in terms of approach. For instance, a management course such as MBA in Telecommunication System Management at IIT Delhi is likely to be available at an IIT rather than an IIM.

IIT MBA Admission Process 2022

Initially, IIT management departments used to accept scores of the entrance exam which they used to conduct i.e. JMET. However, from the year 2011 onwards, IIT MBA admissions are being done on the basis of the Common Admission Test. Apart from a good score in CAT exam, a candidate must also hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. Thereafter, the candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of the above criteria, have to appear for a Group Discussion (GD) round, Personal Interview (PI) round or a Writing Ability Test (WAT) in order to bag the final admission test.

    Dear Student,

Both Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Commerce (MCom) are good choices of courses after a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree.
