In order to emphasise vocational studies further, the College of Vocational Studies (CVS) was founded in 1972. One of the first institutions in India to provide vocational education, it is a constituent college of Delhi University (DU). It attempts to blend general education with career-focused skills and knowledge through vocational courses, bridging the gap between traditional university education and the changing socioeconomic environment. The NAAC has awarded the College of Vocational Studies with an A grade, and it is affiliated to the University of Delhi.

The B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BMS and B.Voc degree programmes are among the popular College of Vocational Studies courses. There are five specialisations available in the B.A programme, one in B.Sc, and seven in B.Voc. German and French language certificate programmes are also included among CVS College courses. The College of Vocational Studies fees range from Rs 30,450 to Rs 1.26 lakh for a three-year degree programme.

The college is well known for its popular undergraduate programmes in commerce, management, science and arts. Seven vocational programmes are available through CVS College courses, including Management and Marketing of Insurance (MMI), Marketing Management and Retail Business (MMRB), Tourism Management, Office Management and Secretarial Practice (OMSP), Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Human Resource Management (HRM), and Material Management. These programmes are notable for their emphasis on vocational studies (MM).

B.A (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), B.Com (Hons) and BMS are among the most conventional College of Vocational Studies courses. The college also provides certificate programmes in French and German. At the UG level, CVS College offers about 15 courses in six streams.

The College of Vocational Studies course admissions to the degree courses will be determined by the applicant's prior academic achievement and entrance exam results.
