Maharaja Agrasen College is situated in Delhi in Delhi state of India. Established in 1994, it is accredited from AICTE and it is affiliated to University of Delhi. MAC, Delhi offers 10 courses across 6 streams namely Media & Mass Communication, Commerce & Banking, Arts, Physical Education, Science, Management and across 3 degrees like BA, BSc, B.Com. MAC campus is spread over 10 Acres. Hostel facility is not available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as A/C, AV Lab, Boys Hostel, Canteen, Comp. Lab, Counselling, Girls Hostel, Mess, Lib, Medical Fac. are also there.

  • Financial Assistance

    Financial assistance in the form of Fee Concession is given to deserving students on application on a prescribed form obtainable from the college office. Applications should reach the college office before the date notified for this purpose. No student will be considered for grant of financial assistance unless he/she has made an application before the prescribed date. Such freeships will be allowed only to those students who are found to be academically sound.

    Students belonging to scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe are eligible for the award of post-metric scholarships of the Directorate of Education, Delhi Administration, Delhi. Students who are eligible for the above scholarship are required to submit their applications (on the prescribed form available from the college office) to the college office. The Certificate /Declaration as required under the rules should be attached with the application form. Students who are from states other than Delhi will have to submit their applications immediately after admissions, to the states to which they belong. Failure to follow these instructions will result in non-grant of such scholarship.

    The University holds a competitive examination in Delhi in the month of October each year for the award, of ALL INDIA ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP, 50 (fifty) in number of the values of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred fifty only) per month, each tenable for three years for pursuing a course for an honours degree in this university. The competition is open to the students who have passed the senior school certificate examination (under 10+2 pattern of education) from the central board of secondary examination, New Delhi or an examination equivalent thereof. Students with at least 55% marks in aggregate are eligible. The last date for receipt of applications is 1st September each year. Other details may be obtained from the college or from the Examination Branch VII (i) Main University st Campus, Room No. 61, on any working day between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m., after 1st August each year. The examination forms will be accepted from the eligible candidates along with an examination fees of Rs. 50/- only. The Delhi Government provides a Meritorious Scholarship for deserving candidates.

Awards and Rankings

  • The years 2012 and 2013 brought several international scholars to MAC in two well-attended International Conferences in the broad areas of International Relations and Cultural Studies. These vibrant scholarly initiatives have paved way for a string of national-international conferences organized by the various departments every year totally to 17 conferences by the end of 2015.
  • The year 2014 cemented our efforts to sustain and encourage academic excellence geared towards innovation and research by being awarded the second prize in the competitive category of 'College with Good Practices'. This was possible only because the college continued to promote and encourage research and innovation. 
  • An efflorescence of the innovative and creative energies of the student faculty teams saw the award of 21 Innovation projects, interdisciplinary In nature, approved and funded by the University of Delhi. 2 projects were Completed in 2013-14, 10 in 2014-15 and 9 ongoing projects were approved in 2015. Rs 20 Lakhs was sanctioned by Delhi University for student projects during the year 2012-13, Rs 38.5 Lakhs in 2013-14 and Rs 35 Lakhs for ongoing projects in 2014-15. Each project led by three faculty members from different departments and ten students seeks to bring about real and evidence based change within the college.
