Eligibility

Eligibility for the M.D. course is restricted to those holding the M.B.B.S. degree. The certification must be from a university that is acknowledged by the Medical Council of India. Percentage criteria may vary from institute to institute. Training is attained in medical disciplines which are non-surgical in nature such as Internal Medicine, Radiology, and Pathology etc. Rank obtained in an entrance examination forms the basis for admission. Some institutions may conduct a personal interview of the candidate.

Eligibility

M.S. can be pursued by those candidates who have completed M.B.B.S. Course from a medical college recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI).
The candidate should have obtained full registration either from MCI or any of the state council after passing final MBBS examination and should have completed one year Internship. Admission is strictly done on the basis of their academic merit. The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility for admission to course is Fifty Per Cent for General Category Candidates. It is Forty Per Cent for the candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward classes. Most state government-affiliated programs at the M.S. level accept 50% of students based on the national examination and 50% based on state examinations. In addition, 50% of positions are also reserved in most states for physicians belonging to the economically underprivileged segments of Indian society as specified in the Indian Constitution. The foreign nationals are required to send their applications routed through Diplomatic Channels. They are also required to appear in the Competitive. Entrance Examination along with other regular candidates.The foreign nationals will be considered against the seats advertised under the `Sponsored' category.
