DSCE B.Tech in Information Science - Fees, Eligibility, Seats and Admission 2026

Overall: I am in 2nd year of Dayananda Sagar, and in the first year I had got to know various things about the college. In a Nutshell, I am not at all happy with this college. Imagine paying 12Lakhs in total and getting placed at 7-8 LPA job is something unacceptable. This is not about my own caliber but the opportunity my college is unable to provide. Though the campus, college life and opportunities outside the campus is accessible but being dependent on the college would cost you very harsh. The college has a very lush green campus, various free sitting areas, playground, tennis court, basketball court, paid GYM, various places to hangout. The labs are okayish, plenty of systems many are not working or are very old but it's fine. STudents never face any issue with it.

Placement: In very short, The ROI for this college in the amount which we are paying to it is very low. It i not even close to 100% for COMEDK students, leave the discussion about MANAGEMENT quota students. For COMEDK students- paying 12.5 lakhs and getting placed to 6/7/8 LPA is about 60-70 % ROI. While this college proves to be very fruitful to Karnataka or home-quota students. They pay ony 80thousand per year that means a total of 3.2 rounding off 3.5 Lakhs at max, and getting placed to even a 6LPA company is nearly 200% ROI for them. So Karnataka students have a big advantage over here.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is fine. It has good number of labs with all necessary systems. The classrooms are classy, with modern designs (Especially CS branch) others are old fashioned but each classsroom is equipped with projector screens, podium for professors, ample seats for the students, great accomodation and capacity for thr students and staffs. Separate HOD and senior faculty cabins. The quality of amenities it is offerng is decent though it charges a lot in the form of fees.

Faculty: The faculty here is nice outside the department but they are just hell inside the department . Some of them are very friendly, very supportive, they give free marks, dont tease and make things problematic while some are just so so so non-sense that they will suck the blood about of the students... They give a hell lot of assignemnts, make PPTs, reports, Mini-Projects which is fun but document it, proofread it, and they make us invest, not invest, waste a lot of money in printing these reports... They accept only hardcopy for reviewing.

Hostel: The hostel is something which I miss and adore the most about the college. There are 2 hostels for boys and 1 for girls, focusing on boys hostel. One is NRI hostel but Indians can stay, they are offering 2 seater room with attached bathroom, there are 7 floors, 7*37 rooms, each floor having a common studying lounge, terrace on 9th floor closed for students, laundry service in 8th floor and drying area there only/. In contrary, the Indian hostel having 4 seater rooms, common washroom in 2 floors only. the hostel is secured, having curfew timing of 9:30 PM, mess food is decent. But there are cases of Worms found in the food, offering 4 meals daily except Sunday only 3 meals. And a full day off on 2nd Sunday of every month. Charges are likewise NRI BOYS HOSTEl - 2,15,000 per year. INDIAN BOYS HOSTEL - 1,80,000 per year. INDIAN GIRLS HOSTEL - 1,80,000 per year. Indian girls hostel is similar to Indian boys hostel.

Overall: The college placements are really good, teaching staff is very friendly. The maintenance is managed beautifully. Lab facilities available, college timings are 9:30am to 4:05pm. Start a bit late in the day is very useful to students. Mainly, zero tolerance against ragging. Principal sir has been helpful at many times, calm and friendly person.

Placement: Many top companies like JP MORGAN, Mercedes Benz, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Capgemini, Virtusa, Bosch, Upgrad, Oracle, Epsilon, DELL, TheMath come here for campus selections every year. Also the highest package is about a whooping sum of 54LPA. There are a some abroad origin companies coming for campus selections every like, some are: Andpad (Japan), Cross Power (Japan), Furuno Systems (Japan) etc. Average Salary is around 10LPA, and making sure every student gets placed every year

Infrastructure: We have AC classrooms, the seats are so comfortable, no broken chairs. High-tech Library is there, with all the necessary books required to score marks and top the exam. Floors are cleaned everyday. Campus full of greenery hence creates a peaceful environment to study in nature too.

Faculty: There are n number of faculties, they are always available to clear your doubts, they also conduct remedial classes for the well being of academically poor students. Makes sure that every single student understands everything in class itself.

Hostel: Girls and boys having a separate hostel. Rooms are in top-class condition. Television room also available for mind refreshing, hostel mess food is just like home made food, absolutely amazing, healthy and tasty food. Wardens are friendly.
