Staying in the LPU hostels is highly convenient, while living outside the campus poses safety concerns. Only individuals with a valid GATE pass are allowed entry into the university, and even staff members without RFIDs must present their pass. Girls are not permitted to leave the university without parental permission and a GATE pass. The university is well-protected with high walls, barbed wires, security guards, and CCTVs, leaving no room for any unauthorized entry. Girls have specific timings to enter the hostels, while boys are allowed to roam the university until 9 pm. For girls who wish to study in the Central library at night, they are accompanied by security guards during their two-hour allotted time. Women security guards handle the safety of girls on campus. The apartments at LPU offer luxurious accommodation with 1/2/3/4 rooms and attached washrooms. These apartments also feature a common kitchen area, dining area, and lobby. The furniture provided in the apartments includes a wooden box bed, plastic chair, study table, almirah, AC, and geyser. LPU prioritizes providing a balanced diet to its students, offering a menu with a wide variety of sumptuous options. The food options cater to different regional preferences, including North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani, and more. Students can choose their meals according to their taste, and the quality of food is excellent. The LPU campus is vast, with over 400 kiosks where students can find a wide range of food options. The hostel mess serves delicious food, and regular inspections are conducted to ensure hygiene and quality. The mess menu is customized for students from different zones, providing ample choices. Additionally, LPU has a non-veg mess operated by a third-party vendor, allowing students to opt for suitable meal plans.
