The Savitribai Phule Pune University is a public state university located in the city of Pune. The university was established in 1949 and spread over 411 acres of campus in the neighbourhood of Ganeshkhind. PG Diploma in Industry 4.0 Mechatronics & Robotics

It is a one-year PGD programme. Department of Technology SPPU fees for PG Diploma in Industry 4.0 Mechatronics & Robotics is Rs 1.34 lakh for the academic year. The candidate must graduate in B.Sc Electronics, M.Sc Electronics, BE/ B.Tech (Electronics, Electrical, ENTC, Mechanical) from a recognized university.

PG Diploma in Electric Mobility

It is a one-year PGD programme. Department of Technology SPPU fees for PG Diploma in Electric Mobility is Rs 1.58 lakh for the academic year. The candidate must graduate in Mechanical/ Electrical/ ENTC/ Instrumentation/ Automobile and all allied branches from a recognized board.

PG Diploma in Data Science and AI

It is a one-year PGD programme. Department of Technology SPPU fees for PG Diploma in Data Science and AI is Rs 1.75 lakh for the academic year. The candidate must pass BE from any Stream, B.Sc Maths/ Physics, M.Sc Maths/Physics, and M.Tech from any stream from a recognized university.

UNIPUNE is a part of the Savitribai Phule Pune University which is spread across 411 acres of land. The institute has digital books, research papers and publications available in its library. The International Students Centre is a staple of successful foreign relations, with students from 104 different countries. The ISC not only helps foreign students with admissions but also works towards promoting cultural understanding and acceptance between students of various countries and cultures. 

DOT-SPPU campus facilities

Computer lab: The department of technology has several specific computers and other laboratories for all its courses. All computers come fully loaded with legally purchased copies of Microsoft Office, MATLAB, and other programmes like Solid Works, CATIA, Ansys, etc. For the benefit of all students, a multimedia system connected to an LCD projector is permanently installed in every classroom to provide audio-visual lectures.

Library: The Jayakar Library is the central library standing 6 floors tall, housing the reading room with a capacity of 600 students at a time, 4,80,000 books, 4500 multilingual handwritten books, and e-journals. In terms of references and textbooks, the department's in-house library meets the immediate needs of both students and staff. Other than technical, the library offers over 2000 works on basic engineering, the living sciences, and clinical research.

Laboratories: The college has a Texas Instrumentation lab which is sponsored by Texas Instruments under the TI University program along with a state-of-the-art chemistry lab. The department also has an electric mobility lab with all the equipment required for practical and industry training. There are separate computer labs for different departments that are fully loaded with all the software required for PG courses in data science and AI, mechatronics and robotics, and electric mobility.

Hostels: The hostel has a capacity of 1221 students divided into six girls' hostels and seven boys' dormitories run by the university within the campus. It also boasts a university guest house, which has more than 34 rooms with canteen facilities and is cosy and well-furnished.

Sports: SPPU accommodates the basketball court, cricket ground, football ground, swimming pool and volleyball court. In 1949, the University Board of Sports was established. The Board of Sports' mission is to promote, coordinate, and carry out athletic events around UNIPUNE. It seeks to develop the students' feeling of teamwork and sportsmanship, to instil a sense of discipline. They organise and host intercollegiate, inter-zonal, and inter-university tournaments that the students can participate in.
