Dr. Ganesh Prasad Law College functions under the self-financing scheme of Higher Education Department, Uttar Pradesh Government (affiliated from the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi) to administer legal education to person who desire to be enrolled in the Bar of India. The Law College offers a complete course of study entitled to the L.L.B. degree and is eligible to practise as an advocate, as per the Rules of the Bar Council of India.As at today, more importantly astride the mandatory curriculum, our college has rightly entered the realm of legal research, to open up the minds of our students in consonance with the demands of globalization, and sensitize you to the current developments in the legal arena. We believe in Education as the way of revolution and ultimate development of society. Our enthusiastic and talented teachers have a commitment to mould the young minds by giving them insight into Law. The library of the college is well equipped with all the latest legal resources to meet the requirements of the student. Since studying law requires a great deal of reading, the necessary library facilities for students are provided at the College Library.It has a wide range of books important for a law student and all local and foreign law reports, journals, Law bulletins and statutes. We try to ensure that students will have access to latest editions of the textbooks. The Library will be open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on weekdays and from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Saturdays.Books and other literature will only be on reference and no lending facilities will be available except for overnight reference. Library provides photo-coping facilities. Students are requested to use these facilities. We also expect you to use the library with care and responsibility.The College Information Technology Centre has 25 Computers with Internet facilities. Library Solution Programme and E-Law programme are available for the improvement of Academic skills. Information Technology Centre will be open from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on weekdays.
