The Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest and most reputed university of India, established in the year 1927. Being a central university, it has all the facilities that provide its pupils with standard quality of education. It provides its students with ragging free campus, state-of-art infrastructure, and learning surrounding. All faculties in faculty of law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) are highly qualified (PHD holders). They strive to provide its students with quality education, in a quest to produce efficient lawyers and judges. The university grew out of the work of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the great Muslim reformer and statesman, who in the aftermath of the Indian War of Independence of 1857 felt that it was important for Muslims to gain education and become involved in the public life and government services in India. Raja Jai Kishan helped Sir Syed in establishing the university. The Faculty of Law, A.M.U., Aligarh has been successfully pursuing higher academic excellence. It has a unique distinction of producing highest number of qualitative Ph. Ds in India and hundreds of LL. M. dissertations in various fields of specialization are also publishing two peer reviewed Journals bearing ISSN Nos. namely Aligarh Law Journal (ALJ) in Faculty of Law and Quest for Justice under the banner of Ambedkar Chair, Faculty of Law containing thought provoking research oriented articles of the eminent personalities.
