DRSMCE Campus

The Dr.SMCE Library located in the campus is housed in the area of 1000 Sq.Mts. The library is having a collection of 20,377 volumes that includes 1120 volumes under the Book Bank and about 950 volumes under SC/ST Book Bank. The collection includes reference works such as Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Hand Books and Standards.The library subscribed the VTU e-resources mandated by AICTE, that is DELNET, (Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, & Information Science Engineering. ) These e-resource can be accesses across the campus 24/7. Tthe library has the membership with reputed libraries in Bangalore, like CMTI, IISc, & IIMB Library by which our students and faculty can avail the reference services offered by the above Libraries.The seating capacity of the Library is 450 users at a time, which also includes three separate AC Reading Halls of a capacity of 250 users. The library is computerised with WEB - enabled open source software EasyLib. The on-line public access catalog can be accessed across the campus through OPAC which facilitates to search the books by author, title.  Dr.SMCE College of Engineering has been acclaimed as one of the best equipped institutions for technical education w.r.t. the students especially from the practical learning point of view. The Dr.SMCE College of Engineering offers the finest laboratory facilities required for today’s young engineers for learning and application of skills. The College has made its best efforts to ensure that laboratories not only adhere to the VTU standards but also match up to the world-class laboratories of pioneering research. Several laboratories are assigned to each Department at Dr.SMCE College of Engineering to meet the needs of its branch of learning.
