When there's a tie in exam scores, NID has a specific policy to break the tie and decide the final merit list. The test consists of two stages: NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains. Dear aspirant Lovely Professional University (LPU) strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends the Scholarship Scheme which is an initiative by the University to cultivate talent of students that may be hidden due to financial constraints. LPU conducts a national level entrance test LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). LPUNEST is considered for offering Scholarship as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. Any deserving candidate who Qualifies LPUNEST exam can get a study grant of Rs.1 Lac for study education institutions like IITs/ NITs/ IIMs/ NLUs/ IHMs/ NIDs/ IITs (DoD/ IDC)/ IIITDM/ NIFTs OR can get admission to LPU programmes and avail scholarship of upto Rs.6 Lac. At LPU, every year top international students of the highest calibre and with outstanding achievements get LPU SCHOLARSHIPS on tuition fees for the complete duration of the regular programme. The scholarship is offered in all the programmes in order to provide financial benefit to bright and deserving students. During last year, LPU has granted scholarships worth INR 100+ crores to students (maximum up to 6 lacs per student) to pursue their education. At LPU scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance in the eligibility qualification: (for example, on the basis of performance in10+2 for undergraduate programmes and graduation for PG Programmes), Qualification previous to eligibility qualification: This scholarship is applicable after graduation programmes, scholarship on the basis of qualification previous to eligibility qualification, LPUNEST score, certain national level tests (like JEE (Mains), NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT, MAT etc.), scholarship based on Innovation, Startup & Entrepreneurship, performance in sports, cultural, R&D, co-curricular, social service and bravery awards, for toppers of centre and state boards. The scholarship percentage varies programme-wise as per the students' scores. For each category of scholarship, 1-3 brackets of Scholarship (Brackets 1, 2, and 3) are defined. Each bracket represents specific criteria which an applicant must fulfil, for him/her to fall in that particular bracket. Criteria in bracket 1 are the most strict and the conditions are relaxed in subsequent brackets and the scholarship is also reduced in each next bracket. So, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket 1 (top bracket) get the highest scholarship and those in Bracket 2 or Bracket 3 get a relatively lesser scholarship. The candidate may be eligible for more than one scholarships but he will be entitled for only one, whichever is the highest. Apart from the scholarship schemes, LPU also offers financial aid to the students belonging to underprivileged students like orphans, persons with disability etc. or some specific groups like Wards of Defence personnel etc I hope this will help
