Govt. College - GC Nerwa - GC

Government Degree Nerwa came into existence when on 13th June 2002 Himahcal Pradesh Government took over Sanatan Dharam College and the services of the Staff, all the assets including the building, playground and furniture etc. also became the part of the college. The foundation stone for the construction of the new building was laid by the then Hon’ble C.M. Sh. Vir Bhadra Singh on 3rd November, 2006. The college has three faculties i.e. Artc, Commerce and Science. The staff is well qualified and most of the teachers are having Doctoral Degrees. A computer lab consisting of 10 computers has been installed in the college. The new college building is under construction, of which 30% work has been executed so far. A land comprising 23 bighas and 18 biswa was taken from Sanatan Dharm College and 0.99 hac (12 bighas) Govt. land has been transferred in the name of H.P. Higher Education Department (College). A diversion case of 3.6795 hac (48 bighas) has been sent to Govt. for clearance and approval.
