Motivated and boosted by a Motto, â€œSatyam, Shivam, Sundramâ€, Govt. College for Girls, Hisar, Haryana has been situated at Delhi Bypass covering an area of Thirty Two Acres of land with lush green interiors and exteriors with one block constructed fully. It is five Kilometers away from Bus stand and just opposite to Guru Jhambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar. The institution has elevated upto three faculties viz, Arts, Commerce & Science for academic excellence with thirteen subjects in Arts to its credit along with Environmental studies. The strength of the college is fifteen hundred students approximately. Boarding facility has been provided to the students belonging to remote areas accommodating Ninety students. A library established and run effectively keeps Ten thousand books on various subjects, several magazines both weekly and fortnightly, monthly â€“Journals and all kind of daily newspaper to enhance and upgrade the know-how of the teachers and the taught. Lab facilities in the subjects of Geography, Psychology, Home science and Computer science are also added along with Physics and Chemistry labs. A full-fledged Language lab in English for orienting soft - skill - development - programmes and lab related courses has also been established. Above all education through Satellite transmitter is inculcated among the students for which a spacious and suitable dark-room is available. Various significant-cells namely Women cell, Placement cell, Legal literacy cell, Anti sexual harassment cell , and Anti Ragging cell work throughout the academic session for the holistic well-being of the students. Different schemes like Earn-While-You â€“Learn along with stipend for SC and BC students, National Cadet Corps , National Service Scheme and some other motivational schemes remain active from the beginning to the end of the session. As majority of the students commute from the surrounding villages, a canteen is also run keeping their needs in view. A help desk is also available to facilitate the students for any kind and all kind of inquiries and queries. The last but not the least a healthy provision is made for First-Aid in any emergency. Our institution is a temple of education deriving truth followed by betterment and well being for the masses making life, a real beauty and hence fulfill its Moto Satyam, Shivam , Sundram.
