Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic - GGSP Nashik - GGSP
Guru Gobind Singh Foundation was set-up in 1978 by the prominent and illustrious Punjabi residents of Nasik with the primary objective of providing quality education to the students irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and nationality. The Foundation made a very humble beginning in 1978 by starting Guru Gobind Singh Public School with just nine students and a room in the Gurudwara and achieved spectacular success over the years through its three institutes Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic and Guru Gobind Singh College of Engineering and Research Center.Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic was established in a well-constructed building, comprising built up area of 10174.76 sq. mtrs with 23 students in the year 2001. The Diploma programs in Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Electronics and Tele communication Engineering were started from the academic year 2001-02 with intake of 90, 60 and 60 respectively. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering was started in year 2003 with 120 intake. In 2007, Diploma in Electrical and Civil Engineering were started with 60 intake of both programs. In this series, expansion is done in year 2014 by starting II shift for Mechanical Engineering with intake of 120.All programs are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to MSBTE, Mumbai. Polytechnic got accreditation from National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, for the period April 2012 to March 2015 for the Programs- Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Tele communication, Computer Engineering and Information Technology.
