Overall: GNDU has received "Grade A" accreditation from NAAC, with a CGPA of 3.51. The institution also receives recognition from the UGC and MHRD as a "University with Potential for Excellence'' and Category 1 Autonomy. The university is ranked among the top 9% of universities worldwide in the World Universities Rankings (CWUR). The university has UGC approval and is listed by NIRF 2023 as being in position 87 overall for its category. Over 23 times, GNDU has taken home the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy, demonstrating the commitment and value placed on the sports world. The Ministry of HRD, Government of India, has ranked GNDU as the second best government university for maintaining a clean campus environment.

Placement: Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar maintains a great placement record every year. A good number of students get placed every year. A total of 701 students got placed in the 2021 placement drive. The highest CTC of INR 13.50 LPA was offered to the students. A total of 63 recruiting companies made the placement offers. The university is conducting its summer internship placements for the batch 2022 and 2 students of B.Tech Food Technology programme were offered 1 year internships by Haldiram Snacks Private Ltd. Top recruiters like Amazon, Chegg, Nagarro, TCS, HDFC Bank, Capgemini etc made the offers to the students.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good enough they provide lot of things there classes are good with projector in every class some decorum is created by them and the cleaningness is so good on regular basis our classroom are cleaned and it's superb...

Faculty: Yes of course the faculty is really good and teaching style is also one of the best. They also provide industry specific knowledge to the students so, as to secure the campus placement for them. Talking about the exam system, first the MST Mid Semester Exams are there of 20Marks and then the EST End Semester Exams are there of 80Marks. Adding both these exams the final results are calculated.

Hostel: While some hostels are newly constructed, some are older. The hostel has stricter rules for girls than for boys. For example, there is no curfew for girls, and you cannot order food delivery after 9 p.m. Additionally, there is a minimum 1000 rs monthly charge for the mess. The meals are average, and twice a month, we have a special diet. The single rooms are not available and double seater rooms are very small and there is only one chair, table and almirah provided which is to be share by both of them whereas in three seater rooms sperate table and chair is provided for each student. For international and sports students there is seperate hostel. And fir international students single rooma are available.
