What is the difficulty level of the AP EAMCET May 12 Engineering exam?
As per the very first reactions of the students we have received today,
AP EAMCET 2026 May 12 exam was of moderate level
. The first shift of the exam saw a difficult but doable
Mathematics paper with lengthy calculations
and questions from
locus, conics, parametric equations and standard limits
. Unlike every year,
Chemistry was moderate
rather than easy. Students found questions from
Atomic Structure
and
Stroichiometry
tougher than usual. The rest was doable. The
Physics section was the toughest
of all, with almost 8-9 questions from
kinetic energy, law of inertia, torque and elastic behaviour of solids
etc.
Coming to the second shift, the exam difficulty level remained moderate, with
Mathematics being time-consuming
and heavily focused on Calculus and Algebra.
Physics was moderate
and
Chemistry was relatively easy to moderate
with direct NCERT-based questions.
AP EAMCET Previous Difficulty Trends
Taking a quick glance at AP EAMCET previous difficulty trends, from 2023 onwards, the overall difficulty level of the exam has remained somewhat consistent i.e. moderate to difficult. Here’s a subject-wise review:
The Mathematics section has always been considered moderate to tough and continues to maintain the same. Many takers from last year (2025) shared that ven though the questions were solvable, the time limit made it hard to complete the paper.
Physics maintains a decent/ moderate difficulty. The maximum weightage and attention are given to Thermodynamics and Mechanics chapters. One recent shift in pattern has been seen where the numerical-heavy questions are taking over traditional theoretical/ application based questions.
Chemistry is known for its easy to moderate difficulty level and scoring potential. The last years’ (2023-25) paper analysis reveals that a whopping 70% of the questions have been asked from reaction mechanisms, direct NCERT concepts and formulas, making it the top scoring section.
Once you have read the AP EAMCET May 12 question papers 2026 and answer key solutions, feel free to jot down the correct number of questions and calculate your total scores. Remember, each correct answer fetches you one mark. The good news is that there are no deductions for incorrect answers. Good luck!
If you join LPU and make full use of the opportunities available—such as internships, coding competitions, industry projects, and placement training—you can build a strong career and get good placement opportunities.
Another benefit is that students can apply for LPUNEST scholarships, and eligible candidates may also receive a Study Grant of up to ₹1 lakh under the LPUNEST Study Grant Scheme, helping reduce education expenses.
