The campus of INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND RURAL TECHNOLOGY, Allahabad, UP, India spreads over 26.5 acres (107,000 m2) of land. The Institution has separate hostel and mess facilities for boys and girls including 24 hours generator facility, telephone, and gates security. Alongside, the mess comprises spacious dining halls where descent meals are served to the students. The college owns standards engineering workshops, well equipped with upscale machinery. Its computer lab owns latest computers, software, and app development tools. It has also a sizable library, consisting of accomplished collection of books on engineering and several other subjects.
A spacious hostel is situated close to the institution campus at the bank of Ganges. Presently there is an accommodation for about 430 students. The rooms in the hostel are triple seated. All rooms are provided with ceiling fans, book racks and wardrobes. Each student residing in the hostel is given a cot, table and a chair. The common room of the hostel is furnished with facilities of indoor games, colored television, magazines and newspapers. There is a small library for the inmates providing them necessary text-books only. A small canteen and a general store are situated in the hostel campus to meet the day-to-day needs of the inmates. There is a gymnasium and a dispensary in the hostel. Accommodation in girls hotel is available to girls belonging to SC & ST category only. Prescribed Hostel Fee : (Payable annually at the time of hostel admission) Exact amount of hostel fee and mess advance will be communicated to the students at the time of counseling in the auditorium of the institute.
Mode of Hostel Admission : Hostel facility shall be given on priority to first year students. If seats remain vacant, the students of second and third year may be considered as per rules. However, local students shall not be given hostel facility. The selection is made on the basis of one's merit in the branch, conduct and participation in extra and co-curricular activities. The first year student will have to apply to the hostel warden on the prescribed form for hostel admission at the time of counseling. Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates according to norms.
Hostel Rules and regulation : As soon as a student gets admission in the hostel he becomes a member of hostel family. Hostellers should not allow their guests to say with them without prior permission of the warden. Lady guests are not allowed to stay in the hostel under any circumstances. Functions such as cultural, games, sports must have the prior sanction of the Director. In case of any problem, students are required to report to the warden. They are also advised not to take law in their own hands.
